Power to the Fraggers?

I was thinking that since Thunders nade was made worst while he overall got a good buff, it only serves it right that Fragger who got (Pointlessly) nerfed gets some buff into his Frag.

I was thinking of making the Pointblank DPS around 200-170 (hang on) but, make the damage drop faster in other words.
Pointblank one shots, out of pointblank its more like a poke.

this would reward skilled Fraggers who can properly time and aim their Nades and allow Fragger to take down HP station nest.

The nades are already plenty powerful as it is…but if it helps me kill Rhinos sure. :smiley:

thunder nade got a nerf, lol. People are so desperate to disable stations? well how about disabling 5 people standing on top of them, ADS mowing them down even as they are getting healed.

i play fragger main and i say this buff isnt needed
the frag granade is very strong
what i would do is just give him 150hp again…

Fragger is already OP as he is now, I actually expect to see a nerf to his grenade if anything.
Does Thunder’s nade seem overpowered because you get slowed and blinded? Sure
But you realize if it were a Fragger, you wouldn’t have gotten slowed, but instead you would’ve became a ghost and the Fragger doesn’t even have to use his gun

With the Explodehydendron perk, frag grenades are borderline OP with the cooldown time they have. I can easily dispatch 2-3 people with each grenade because people sometimes bunch up on med stations or all push from predictable spots. Combined with the BR-16? That kind of stopping power is unimaginably bullshit to combat, because then you get range combat, you get CQC, and you get AOE with the grenade. I would re-buff his health but nerf the grenade cooldown.

Fragger is fine, he’s a Combat King, a main Damage Dealer, he’s fine as is.

And for those of you who think he’s op, that’s just because he’s a good combat class, you’re SUPPOSSED to lose most fights with him. He can’t heal, can’t do objectives well, can’t give ammo, can’t damage the EV, face it, the guy is good at killing people and that’s it. And that’s fine, since this game needs a character like this. He’s what we call the Entry Fragger in CS GO, same name too…HUH I WONDER WHY.

do you realize that thunder has much bigger blast radius? you can blind people across the map and slowing effect has few times bigger blast radius than fragger and teammates dosent block that explosion like with frag grenade

and teammates weren’t blocking the blast radius… it was just broken now he is finally in good place

I have to agree here, Fragger is still viable, if just a bit harder to play due to the reduced health(especially against Thunder, due to the now 30 hp difference), but Thunder’s grenade stunning you even if you’re looking away when the flashbang goes off is nutty.

The Fragger nade is nowhere near as easy to use as the Thunder flash - the Thunder flash can not only stun you for a good 3-4 seconds from about 10-15 metres away, but it also can’t be avoided by turning away from the flash (turning away prevents your screen from going white, but doesn’t do anything to prevent your screen from getting that ‘drunk’ effect where your vision is blurred and you can’t move or strafe). Getting hit by a Thunder nade is basically death (unless you have 2-3 teammates WITH you to help fight off that Thunder before he can kill you as you’re stuck standing still).

His nade is kinda OP as it is. The radios is big and it kills most mercs with it.

But it’s predictable as fuck, whereas Stoker’s less powerful molotov can be insta-thrown, making it much more dangerous in my opinion. Same goes for Thunder’s flashbang - they can’t be predicted and, especially in Thunder’s case, they can’t be avoided easily.

Anyone asking for a Fragger nerf:
Please, he is an assault, his entire job is to kill people. If you are anything short of an assault, in an even contest 1vs1, this guy should kill you more than you kill him, with the exception of maybe recons. If you pick someone more team-centric like a Medic, Support or Engineer, then accept that assaults are gonna be the hard part of your day.

To assault players out there, he got nerfed already, and very well. In fact it was probably one of the most ingenious nerfs I’ve ever seen in a game. His nades can’t 1 shot an entire team anymore due to damage being sponged by bodies in front of you. He also only gets one now at any 1 time, so no more “Oh I missed? Well have another”. His gameplay hardly changed at all, but his power did, and most would agree for the better.

In the same vein, the other assults got buffed to have the power an assault needs for their job.

Anyone asking for a Fragger buff:
Fragger was the king merc for a long time. He dumped on every other merc and assault in the game with his versatility, raw tankiness, DPS, and 1 shot power. Why would you respect a player for taking the strongest guy and wrecking everyone? Simple answer, you wouldn’t.

Since his nerf, Fragger still has everything he did before, but it is reigned in so that he can’t 1 shot the entire team, and he only gets 1 chance. This, in turn, means his nade isn’t his go to in every single encnounter. In the same breathe other mercs who were weak by comparison have been brought up in line with him.

This is great is it not? Being a good Fragger is now something to aspire to, without people just sat thinking “Oh look, another cheap a$$ Fragger player”.

Other mercs may be starting to get too powerful (glancing at you Thunder)… but that is THAT mercs problem, not Fraggers.

Don’t ruin a good thing. Fragger is perfect where he is.
