i don’t know what it’s actually supposed to be but the two lightnigs resemble the old “Waffen-SS” symbol from the second world war.

edit: looking at some of the pictures in the wiki article, it looks like a absurd science fiction movie. but it actually happened less than 100 years ago.

i don’t know the intentions behind this but given the fact that splash damage also made wolfenstein et, i don’t know if i’m comfortable with these symbols. especially not after looking at this:

well, it’s the intention that is important. why not have a single box with a electric symbol? why have two that clearly resemble the SS logo? homage? i would have picked a different symbol if i wanted to honor the history of games created by splash damage.

It’s not a Waffen SS symbol -.- If you zoom in on the picture you can see the downwards arrow used to display electricity boxes, since that’s what it is. An electricity box.

There are two because manufacturers are required to display them for safety reasons, two because there’s flow in the both of them and people getting work done near or on it need to know …
Would you be more comfortable if there were bird droppings on one of the box? Or maybe a dead rodent stuck on it? Or maybe … I’ll stop there. I fear that next time cones will be involved (with direct fire and splash damages they tend to move around …)

Well, as a german i see the logo of Dirty Bomb a bit different.

If you only look at the sticking out yellow parts (black nuclear danger symbol on black ground), it pretty much looks like a triskele.

This sign resembles closely to a swastika and is used by a neo-Nazi network.
A slightly different symbol of a triskele was used by a SS Divison.

And now you posted a screenshot of an obvious SS logo.
Now its all clear:
In conclusion, SD wants to sell us this game because with the profit they fund and arrange secret gay nazi orgies. :eek:
