Post your maps to pcgamemods.com!!!

If you want your map to actualy get played. Do not for any reason make this site the only place admins can get it.

As an admin I’m not waiting 50 or 9 (Tip: english subtitles would help) minutes to download a map at 25kb a second. If you only post your map on this site, it is not going to get played. Upload it to Pcgamemods.com or PM myself or Pie. Want a comparison? This is the amount of transfer from my server at 200kd a second as of today.

As you can see my server has transfered over 103 GB of maps, to over 18 thousand players for free. Send it to me or Pie, and your map will actualy get played on a large server. That Dark seige map is not getting played, because the mapper only uploaded it to that site. Upload here Http://www.pcgamemods.com

I know about that. If the file is bigger than 10MB people must wait a very long time till the free download is starting with 25KB/s.
It had to to with the sponsor of WolfMap. If it’s possible I always put an alternative downloadmirror in the news to the map.
Or you take a look in the “Quelle” (=Source) where I was downloading the file.

BTW: The map “Siege” from the clan “DarK” was first on www.etmaps.de but I don’t know why so less people take a look at this site, maybe there to new in the scene? There are the fastest in hosting new maps.

As a server admin, I LOVE finding maps available on pcgamemods - with most of the others, you have to clicketyclickety javascriptclickety popup your way to a download that may or may not work…

Sooooo much simpler to use wget to pull directly from pcgamemods.com to the server - at 6 to 8 meg per second, it rocks :slight_smile:

And yeah, if the only place I can find your 20 meg creation is fileplanet or one of those, I just don’t put it on the server - can’t be arsed to re-upload from my machine at 128kbit…I’d rather be playing.

Shame i cant log into pcgamemods (despite several attempts at registration/login). If someone would u/l it there for me (someone was kind enough to upload my beta) I would be VERY appreciative!

I found some other good hosts that dont make you wait in line, but I know pcgamemods is one of the primary places people look for custom maps, and id like to be listed there as well. :slight_smile:

Awesome I made an account, but it doesnt seem to have a cookie… so I have to login every visit. Is that just me or the site?
