Post Your Ideas for New DLC Abilities

So, I was at a bar for lunch (getting wasted as usual) and I came up with some interesting Brink Abilities that could be in future DLCs (I hope). Please post your ideas for new Abilities here!

New Game Mechanic: Poison - Anyone hit with “poison damage” can’t automatically regenerate health until they are buffed by a medic with the “Antidote” Ability. It’s an instant effect so the poison blast doesn’t linger like napalm and only affects the players in the initial blast radius.

“Passive”: Refers to Abilities that don’t need to be assigned to one of the three Ability slots.

“Active”: Refers to Abilities that must be assigned to one of the three Ability slots.

So here we go! All these proposed abilities would only be available to Rank 5 characters (or higher if they add new ranks).

Universal
Superior Sense of Perspective (Passive) - New key/button allows you to switch to 3rd person view at any time. (Maybe the F key when not focused on anything.)

Combat Training (Passive) - You don’t register on an enemy with Combat Intuition beyond a specific distance (30+ m?).

Veteran (Passive) - Supply pips that are used specifically to buff teammates regenerate faster.

Soldier
Extra Armor Piercing Ammo (Passive) - Your ammo buff now gives teammates Armor Piercing Ammo.

Quick Reload (Passive) - You can change weapon magazines faster.

Poison Grenade (Active) - See above description of the proposed Poison mechanic.

Operative
Booby Trap Command Post (Passive) - If an Operative with this Ability uses a Command Post that has already been Firewalled then the Operative can set a Booby Trap (in the same manner that Firewall is set), with a similar effect to a mine, that is triggered if an enemy tries to capture the Command Post.

Poison Knife (Passive) - Operative’s knife attack applies the Poison effect to the target.

Silent Kill (Passive) - Operatives with this ability will disappear from the enemies radar (until spotted again) if they make a melee kill or make a kill with a gun that has a silencer attached.

Engineer
Springboard (Active) - An object that must be placed (similar to a mine or Field Regen Unit) that launches the player high up into the air. It could either have a specific launch direction or launch you in the direction in which you are currently traveling. (I can see both offensive and defensive uses for this Ability, especially if it launches people in a specific direction.)

Trip Mine (Active) - Similar to ET:QW. (Please give us this SD!)

Poison Mine (Active) - Following the Poison mechanic mentioned above.

Medic
Self Resurrection Kit (Active) - Gives a teammate one Self Resurrection buff. (They still have the Self Resurrection timer cooldown so you can’t spam it.)

Antidote (Passive) - Health Buff also cures Poisoned condition. (Self and teammates.)

Improved Adrenaline Boost (Active) - Works just like Adrenaline Boost but the damage taken while active is completely ignored instead of applied when the effect wears off.

PURCHASEABLE at rank 4 as “improved Op Kit”

1)Improved operatives:
Disguised as medic
When you disguise as a medic, you should be able to inject poison, they see their health buff, but it actually injects them with poison. the posion will take away 60hp(1/2 of a lights and 1/3 of a heavy) and will take its time effecting the soldier but with disorientation . you will also be able to throw lethal revive syringes and poisonous Lazarus grenades .

As a disguised Soldier
As a disguised soldier, you should give them ammo, they see ammo, but as soon as your far enough away or a certain period of time has gone, their Guns Jamm up( too big bullets) this only takes a few seconds to repairAn engineer can fix this for them or they can wait in a corner for a few seconds.

As a Disguised Engineer
And as a disguised engineer you can weaken their guns .but it wears off after time and if a engineer buffs their gun, it negetes it and adds what the engineer would normally buff them for.In simple, you weaken their guns but an engineer can fix and buff simultaneously

As a disguised Operative
Disguised operative : tricky: when the person your disguised as sees oyou. you dont look like them .So you look like another person to them(more importantly, not anyone that is neerby_ but theyre teamates will see double so be carefull
General aditions
also you should be able to shoot blanks to trick the enemy, these do no damage to ur team. if u shoot an enemy however, you lose your disguse and do damage.
These tactics are amazing in the heat of battle but given time are resolvable. Also adding a HE charge as an operative just adds a fake one which does not blow up .
Buff:enhanced Radar
This allows teamates to see enemies that have silent running from 50% further away(does not negate it but lowers its power a bit) and doubles your teamates RADAR Range.

i haven’t thought too much about new abilities, but one thing that has bugged me from the first day i started playing was the fact that you can’t dual wield pistols. they even put it in a trailer, and i don’t see why they did not include the ability. it would probably be only a cosmetic addition, or would require them to put in some more weapons, but why is it not in the game?

From the in-game description (assuming it’s accurate):

Armor Piercing Ammo upgrades the ammunition you supply yourself with, making it 100% effective against enemies who have the Kevlar Armor buff. However you cannot supply your teammates with the upgraded ammo, only yourself.

Universal trait : When near multiple friendlies your energy pips recover faster

Universal trait : Get 30% more hp but you can’t have downed fire or be ress’d

Universal trait : When you are at or below 50% you able to activate a self super sprint, but while this sprint is active your health will not regenerate nor can you be healed until it runs out.

all will break the game.

Universal

Quarter Master - When using a command post, supply regenerates faster
Heavy Downed Fire (requires downed fire first) - Can use primary weapon in downed fire mode

Soldier

Suppressing Fire - accuracy and spread is slightly tighter when using sustained fire
Machete - brutal close combat weapon (replaces knife)
Shock Grenade - does little damage, but insta knocks down in area of effect

Operative

Backstab - A knockdown attack does more damage from behind.
Improved homing beacon - Permanently marks a single target, can be removed by an ally like sticky bomb can.

Engineer

Gunnery Sergeant - can buff turrets and mg nests with armour and weapon improvement buffs.
Build Barricade - can build a small riot sheild, can be destroyed with gunfire. You cant shoot through it. Ideally works in a simaler way to the Strogg energy sheild in QWET.

Medic

Med Pack - Drops a medpack on the floor, is insta used when f key used (by anyone from either team, even on full health, can also be destroyed). Can only have two out at anytime.

You have no idea how much I’ve wanted this.
So many times I’ve run up to a nearby command post simply praying that magically the game will refill my pips so I can go back to helping my team.

How about an upgrade to the Health Booster that adds Supply Rate Increase to its effects? Obviously, this would have to be a Rank 5 (or more!) ability.

Operative

The abilty to wall mine grenades with a proximity effect or wall mine 3 grenades with your choice of different directional blast patterns.

A command post firewall virus. If an op capture a command post he can not only just firewall the command post but has the ability to upload a virus at the sametime when a enemy takes a command post the virus is activated the enemy supply or health meters will be reduced by a pip and if a enemy engineer upgrades it the meters will be reduced by 2 pips. This wouldn’t be permenant it though there would be a cool down period but once the virus wares off the command post will go back to if the enemy has captured it.

This one might be a bit of a reach but subsonic ammo. Subsonic ammo is ammo when fired travel faster than the speed of sound so the enemy won’t hear or know where is coming from on impact but does less damage against the body as normal ammo but for head shots subsonic ammo would do 25% more damage than normal ammo would but only get so much subsonic ammo to have so use it wisely.

Soldier

A shock grenade. A shock grenade is a non lethal grenade that leaves the enemy target or targets briefly incapacitated standing up shivering and shaking in shock. Medics can’t revive them because it only only temperary for about 30 seconds but when it wares off the enemy health is at about 30%.
