yup, also think it would be nice; esp. considering that this stat is already recorded (badges for assists)
Post Quality of life improvements. :)
When you are killed, you only see the ghost of the player who fired the last bullet. I would like to also see ghosts of players who contributed to killing me. In other words, I’d like to see people who got assists for killing me.
I’d like my teammates’ corpses to look different based on how they died. (gibbed). If they were gibbed by enemies, one color. If they just respawned in a new wave, another color. If they killed themselves (including martyrdom), yet another color.
Why ?
Because I play medic a lot. I’d like to know for sure if my revive failed because enemies were so good or teammates were so crappy.
Alternative squads. Perhaps three in total.
-
Gives you a use for your duplicate cards
-
Can be swapped in during lobby instead of swapping out each merc one by one
-
Customise squads for certain maps
-
It’s just cooler this way
There were Squads at the beginning. I bet they’re coming back because it is a great monetization opportunity for the Developer+Producer.
Agree with the OP with not being able to place deployables on the lower floor level with pipes around the final Underground objective being very annoying and often lethal.
Also, after pressing the play / quick join button in the main menu I see a sub- menu with a sidebar where playing friends are listed. Each of them has a button Join Game but it would be nice to have this button only appear near really joinable friends (e.g. not for full servers).
Also, in the same menu I would like to be able to see which mode they are playing currently (e.g. objective, sw, etc.) and possibly even a map name.
Ability to switch team through console in a SW/MM game to be able to equalize unsymmetric games.
Dirty Bomb shows your teammates through walls. But you only see their names and blue triangles marking them. Unless you’re playing with people you know well, and/or you all use microphones, you have no clue what classes are they.
Please replace the blue triangle with:
- blue wrench for engineers
- blue plus “+” for medics
- blue falling bomb for fire support
- blue crosshair for recon mercs
- blue gun for Rhino/Fragger/Nader…
As a medic, I may want to stick to a Rhino or a Fragger, or perhaps an engineer. I DON’T want to follow yellow triangle only to discover it’s a Vasili (90% Vasili are sniper wannabes). As a Fragger, I’m interested in where my medics and engineers are to receive support and to cover them.
Currently when I see my teammates through walls I see only nicknames. I have to look to the left to see what class is that teammate playing. This is not efficient.

yessssssss
As for playing with people you know well, matchmaking makes it bloody hard to know someone. Matchmaking is the bane of game communities. Dedicated server naturally makes communities grow around favourite servers. I’ve experienced that a lot in W:ET. The feeling is completely missing in Dirty Bomb. Each match is like I’m playing with random strangers, and white-only nicknames aren’t helping. Rather than stick to a server for a few matches, people are leaving and joining all the time. It’s extremely common for a full server (7x7) do become a 2vs2 ghost town when a match ends!
MATCHMAKING SUCKS!
If the game had servers which are excluded from MM, I would play them.
I feel this is becoming more relevant as characters like Phantom have different ‘counters’. I pretty much have Vassili in my squad all the time now even thought I’m terrible at sniping in general. I just throw his HBS near the team to try and ‘counter’ the phantoms brute forcing their way into melee range. Red Eye would be next, I guess. But if I feel like, I want to be able to swap them all out at a moments notice.
