Possible new modes?

This definitely. I had so much fun playing headquarters back in COD and I really think it suits the DB play style.
Domination seems like a really good mode too.

However I think CTF is just going to be either too frustrating or too monotonous. CTF really requires communication and cooperativeness throughout the game. I see CTF simply being a whole bunch of proxy’s running up the flag, grabbing it and wall jumping all the way back to score while the enemy team screams at their teammates for not defending it.

I don’t think so since it’s still in beta, and did not hear or see any news about new mode. Also, like execution mode, they let us to tested it and give feedback before it is officially be in the game.

A classic Team-Death-Match wouldn’t be such a bad thing to see added. Granted it doesn’t ENTIRELY fit the theme of Dirty Bomb, it would help in getting rid of the users whom only play for the kills and ignore the Objectives all-together.

Though I personally think Capture the Flag and King of the Hill would both be quite entertaining. Both are game-mode most FPS games are lacking now-a-days.

Conquest mode mixed with some side objectives. People would have to fight for 3 or 4 controlpoints. Capturing and securing those bases would give you points. If a controlpoint is in your teams hands for some time then you get some more points.

Meanwhile the side objectives will give you also some points if you succeed in them. for example if you capture a jammer then you’ll get 25 points. Some of the side objectives can give you an extra bonus like for instance the jammer would help for a certain time to deny the heartbeat sensor of Vassili in a certain area around the jammer itself. That way your team doesn’t get spotted in a certain area. That would be a nice way to make a more in dept conquest mode.

On the top of the screen you see the controlpoints you can capture (either 2,3 or 4) and on the right you see the timed side objective. Once the time of the side objective is over then the teams would get a random new one.

It keeps the conquest gamemode varied and more in depth than most of the conquest modes in other games.

It’s just an idea. :slight_smile:

Ah baserace now that is a mode i would like to see, it was my favourite map on et wolfensten. I would love to see trench warfare on a dirty bomb map and building a big base in the process.

Oi oi, I got enough…loadouts…already in DB, I don’t want reminders of a past meddle.

I honestly hope we do get another mode to test out while in Open beta before “full release” (as if it wasn’t technically already), let it be anything devs see most suited. Just to get more variety before opening the gates for hopefully bigger playerbase that might actually support more modes.

Thanks for the advice but given that the company that made the game that you see in the screenshot went bankrupt more than 2 years ago (and servers went down), I don’t think they would care about competition in this case. :slight_smile:

Loadout’s servers are down. Quoting a steam post, roughly: They paid for a years worth of server’s staying up. That was 1 year ago.

Hide and seek. I’m not joking but my friends and I in private execution matches invented a way to play hide and seek lol One player seeking and he could start seeking in 20 seconds in which other players keep hiding. Who’s hiding could run in those 20secs, then he can just walk. Hiding players cannot kill seeker/s and viceversa seekers must kill with melee only hoding players xD I know it’s a fps game and so on but it would be so great and funny and original lol

It was a very popular map on et wolfenstein.
Both teams had a base they could build up. The first base was in the north part of the map the other on south part. in between those bases were are lot of trenches world war 1 style.
In the enemy base were 2 places were you could steal a obj(a crate). The goal was to steal said crates bring it to your base, and then use it to upgrade your base. Many things could be upgraded. You could create walls around your base, lower the respawn timer, upgrade certain soldier classes etc. The team that stole the most crates(And because of that had the best base) wins.

Looking back at it, Baserace was one of my favourite modes ever made but the problem is that it will be difficult (if not impossible) to implement it into Dirty Bomb.

I would love to see it make a return and I’ve been thinking about it for days now but I still don’t know how you could ever implement it in DB.

By that logic, delivery objectives don’t work because it’s always a Proxy that steals the drug samples.
