Positive feedback to Splash Damage

The problem is protek, even though we spent the 120 dollars, you’ll get the response “this is an alpha oh well”. My favorite response to that is “oh that also includes the beanie and poster”. F a beanie F a poster. I paid 120 dollars because I thought I was singing up for a solid game with SD knowing that they can create an awesome experience and wanted a “classic” fps, when in reality the video is misleading and this just isn’t the case.

(Protekt1) #122

I feel like the video is a pretty accurate representation of the game… I guess opinions can differ.

I thought I was getting into an Alpha, I was surprised it was playable in any form, for a game that likely won’t release for another year, I’m pretty happy. All this “we paid” “we paid” is annoying, who cares, lots of people paid and still aren’t in. Yes, this IS an Alpha, your misunderstanding of the term is your problem.

on a side note, I think one thing on the UK servers is different, 1 person will actually go on and wait, while NA players look and if they see 0 just bugger off

(rand0m) #124

Well…the game as it stands now sure, but all the weird stuff being added turns me off.

(Nail) #125

it’s being discussed and tested, not necessarily implemented as it seems now, ya got in a year early, be happy bro

(Kl3ppy) #126

Sometimes i think, why do people not understand the term alpha? Its not a solid game, its a very early version. And dont blame sd that the na guys arent playing anymore. There were enough to get games going, but they disappeared…

(Anti) #127

It has been stated in other threads but we are aware of the NA tester pool being very small. This wasn’t intentional but happened naturally as a result of who bought packs and who received friends invites.

As I stated the other day we want to add more people to the alpha ASAP but right now we don’t feel the game performs well enough in a few areas and as such we think it’d struggle to retain those newly invited people, so adding a lot of them now would be a bit of a waste. Instead we are pushing to optimise those areas of the game first before we ramp up tester numbers.

Once that is done we’ll add in a whole bunch of people. From that point the alpha will still run for some time before we go into the closed beta which pre-orders also get access to.

Please do remember pre-order packs weren’t just for the alpha as it has been so far, they cover the rest of alpha, closed beta, characters, merchandise and media.

Good Guy Anti

Good to know we need 100 cakes to feed all SD Team.

I’m finding many games that we buy and play before it gets done. The first place i saw that was here, with Dirty Bomb, so for me you guys are sort of idealizators of the idea.

This was done before, like in ETQW, but today this is becaming a bussiness. A bussiness that demand specialists. Its not to save work, its more work for the team. And more satisfying for both sides.

Ive been searching forums here, but i cant seem to find the post where You or another Dev is explaining exactly what You expect from the game?

Do you want this to be a game that stays alive for ages? or are you already having the sequels planned so this game will just be a bump on the road?

Dont get me wrong  Ive been a SD Fanboi for 10+ years now, Not here on the forums tho, but still, I <3 the fact your doing DB for PC Only. and im more than willing to give my constructive critizism or Ideas and thoughts about DB, But right now im not sure in which direction we are heading, and im pretty sure that SD already has a masterplan running, why not share some of it? That way it would be easier for all of us to direct the issues that in our opinions are whats need tweaking. just a thought.

I payed to be part of this, and imo I actually already got my moneys worth, I got the opportunity to try and help in alpha and i had a small chance of directing this game in the direction i wanted it  yeah yeah who said W:ET  so even if this games turns out to be somthing i dont like, il still be happy for having been there in the beginning.

Dont worry i havent given up, il still tell if i see stuff i dont like.

Good day to you all

Considering that EU is probably triple our population we can blame them though it isn’t going to solve the problem. You had tournament level players vs casuals, people were leaving servers as soon as we joined it got boring dueling 1v1/2v2 for 4 hours a day.

Impact on chars after headshoots or nades are sometime very cool ! they can propel them in the air in a very cool way

Probably intentional. If they show their cards then they’re manipulating the feedback which is unhelpful to them. They want the opinions of people unfiltered by their own views.

Also, if they start picking posts to respond to too often then people may start expecting that treatment or start feeling like their points are being neglected in favour of others.

So get used to this being mostly a one-way street, that’s how focus groups work. The hosts will only jump in when we’re really off about something.

(Protekt1) #134

^well they simply can’t respond to everyone. That would take too much time away from development.
