I like how you don’t regen all of your health, and that you need a medic to reach full. However, I think the delay from damage taken to regeneration should be increased by maybe 3 or 4 seconds. Other than that I like the system of regen and health buffing quite a bit.
I like it. If you run like hell, you can PROBABLY get away from most threats, and then you’re fine. But if you stick around, it’s long enough that a guy can probably cross a room before you REALLY start regenerating health.
(IE: and shoot you)
Same here. It’s pretty much the way it was done in Far Cry 2, and me wubs that way.
I hope that you only regenerate health while standing still. That way people can’t just run around the block and jump straight back into the action.
I’m settling with “it’s fine” until I actually play it. I just can’t say yay or nay on the subject until I actually experience it and can give an informed opinion.
The thing is, it’s not THAT fast, and it’s not THAT soon after your last damage. Can you argue that maybe you want to add 3 seconds? Sure. But it’s not like an extra 6 seconds would be better. Except maybe for Otto, I never trust a Drowzee.
As far as regen speed, what I’d really rather see is them lower the rate to about half that, but cut the pause down to like 1/4.
But in that case, you’d see them getting to full health right around the same time as they do now, so it’s a lateral move.
IMO it should have a lower health regen, it shouldn’t regen all the bar but only lets say 80% of it.
hard to tell yet but hopefully health regen pushes medics off the main combat class.
I think when you are actually playing and not just watching videos that the delay to start regenerating health will seem like forever, and since you are only brought back to the full level of that pip it will leave lots of work for the medics to do.
But I will reserve judgement until I play.
Once the fight gets going, buffs get tossed around, and command posts start getting taken, people will really begin noticing those empty pips. I think the regen speed looks fine. Slow enough and limited enough to make Medics very useful, but at the same time good enough to allow players to continue on after a fight instead of needing a heal after every confrontation.
Wait til the game is in your hands before you start making judgements about how it plays. That’s just my opinion though. It’s kind of like watching a movie preview and saying That movie needs to take out that part, I don’t like that.
There will probably be a server setting or mod developed early on to do that very thing, Humate.
I don’t really have an opinion. I’m good either way, with… or without the regen. Either way it’s a fair fight.
I voted for it to stay the way it is, I’m sure they put a lot of thought into it before adding it.
This. In a game that has medics to heal you up why would you need health regen anyways? I thought they wanted to make this a team based game? Why not let the medics do all the healing then?
Same here but I have to admit that when I first heard about health regen my initial though was “bad idea”, we will see how it turns out.
