[Poll] DB nick locked to your Steam nick

Steam has public records of nick history. DB does not.
Trolling, claiming to be devs/streamers/gamemasters etc, chat abuse, will be easy to get away with when you can change your DB nick to anything?

I kind of like the current system because it’s just a bit harder for people like BK201 (cheaters) to hide. The only way for them is to create new profiles and once you see someone really “good” with a brand new steam account > most likely a cheater.

I really don’t care much either way. But I do think this is a way to prevent certain forms of abuse as well as making cheaters easier to track down.

i do think it should be locked to your steam nick just because of some hacks that can be made to spam name change(seen in ft2) or they can change name to someone who is innocent and they might get kicked by players since u cant see the scores of kills and if you want to change ur name via steam u would need to restart dirtybomb to stop other types of spam thats my opinion
