Point capture mode?

What about adding a new mode where you have to capture points, like in Day of Defeat, Ghost Recon Phantoms, etc… You can easily make an alternative version for already existing objecvite maps, just remove objectives and place 5 points on the map that teams have to capture. This way you could add a new game mode and you don’t have to create all new maps for it.

Personally I feel that the maps are way too linear for this sort of thing but I think something like Unreal Tournament 3’s Warfare mode would be more suited. Essentially you link nodes (control points) from your side of the map to the enemies, one at a time, until you have all the nodes captured. At this point your team can attack the enemy core located in their base, once the core health is zero that team loses. If the game goes into over-time the cores health starts draining slowly. If both die at the same time the team with more capture points is declared the victor.

Couple of maps you used to need to capture in CB. Underground 1st obj was one of them

if we say that you need to capture progress until the last one wouldnt that make phontom pretty much useless and aura a TO pick

Sure it could work, just remake execution maps into CP gamemode, by adding control points (like the one in Terminal) all over the map. Whoever holds the most controls points, for the longest time, wins.

God I’d love this mode. I could see it feasible on at least some of the objective maps too. Make it happen SD!

Well, it would be fun having a capture type of mode, but when Dirty Bomb was in the alpha, the first objective on underground was a capture type objective, so yeh. But still it would be a lot of fun.

Something like rush in battlefield would be great, and would work for the linear maps DB has since rush is a linear gamemode and thus maps are made linear around it. Look at bad company 2. Maps all made around rush.
