There is standalone application google for it. There are other terrains maker - easygen, Fate

Btw a lot of mapperr using 1.4 Radiant (here is Gensurf included ), you can use both

Try use both. Radiant 1.5 has some good improvements. And you can google for standalone Gensurf

?? when i open my map i made in 1.5.0 many brushes are missing :S how can i prevent this? caulk them?

?? Are you using newest or older Radiant 1.5 ? I think that you should work in 1 Radiant. Good mappers talking that best is 1.4 , sometime realy become problems if using 2 radiants make 1 map in 1 Radiant and second in second Radiant. For good cooperations 2 radiants you must set same options sometime it will not work , because , there are more versions of 1.5 ( more builds ). I were never using newest radiant 1.5 with enhanced texture browser by EB

But what I know in this new Radiant you can export brush in format .obj and make from this in modeler model

In that case, click View -> Filter. Check that World is not checked.
