[quote=“Watsyurdeal;202912”]Honestly I don’t think the Grandeur needs it’s higher rate of fire back, it just needs consistent hipfire and decent sights. I can only use them due to the mumble crosshair, but without that hitting shots consistently is difficult.

Something like this would be perfect for it

That and, DPS on the gun already outclasses the Burst Rifles and Assault Rifles.

Grandeur 160
Dreiss 162
BR 16 153
Stark 144
M4 140
Timik 140

These were all calculated by getting the maximum possible shots I could fire in under a second with each gun, then multiplying that by the damage they deal.

Grandeur: 1000/333 = 3 + 1 = 4, 4 * 40
Dreiss: 1000/200 = 5 + 1 = 6, 6 * 27
BR 16: 1000/367 = 3 bursts , 9 * 17
Stark: 1000/400 = 2 bursts, + 2 more bullets, 8 * 18
M4: 1000/112 = 9 + 1 = 10, 10 * 14
Timik: 1000/109 = 9 + 1 = 10, 10 * 14

If the Grandeur did less damage, it’s dps would probably be ok, and really the Grandeur doesn’t need to able to one shot Aura, that’s just a little bit overboard imo.

How much more easier is it to land your shots from the hip with those ARs? Now how difficult is it to land every single shot with the grandeur while ADS while getting shot with the stark, m4 etc?

The first video I showed was the grandeur with 225 RPM. SD dropped it to 200 RPM and this video shows the difference. This is the ROF I felt was just right for the weapon. This time stamp is a good indication of it’s max rate of fire.

As you can see he uses iron sights and does not have to worry about the bullet spread so he is able to spam the weapon; which is the most effective way to fire the gun.

Miles easier, because there’s nothing obstructing my view and I can dodge shots as needed. I really only need to use the sights for long range engagements, and if that’s the case I’m likely too far away.

With the Grandeur, it’s often a hit and miss a lot of the time, sometimes I’m really nailing the shots, and yet other times, I am missing for seemingly odd reasons. I have the feeling it’s the initial spread of the gun and hopefully after this next update that will be solved and fixed.

While aiming down sight, again, it is difficult due to the sight obstructing a lot of my view, add the kick from the recoil and the aimpunch from getting hit, my best bet is to use iron sights on people who aren’t aware of where I am.

But it was also way too fast of a ttk, think about it, assuming the player has good accuracy, it would take them a max of 0.27 to 0.53 seconds to kill someone, then after the first nerf, it was 0.3 to 0.6, then finally where it’s at now, 0.33 to 0.66.

I would argue that ttk was way too fast for anyone to react to initially, and that in turn made a bit overpowered. You will never convince me the Grandeur is a Sniper Rifle, it is a Battle Rifle, plain and simple.

It’s bread and butter should be those two shot headshot kill on everything except Thunder and Rhino, it needs more consistent accuracy, and maybe a small damage nerf, since there’s no reason it should be basically a shotgun from the hip vs Aura and Sparks.

Well, I respect your opinion but I do not think the gun is OP at 200 RPM. If they left the high vertical recoil and bullet spread from the hip it was perfect, for me at least.

If he would have just ADS he would have not missed one shot. This is why I almost never fire from the hip even at close range. It can take time to get used to ads even at close range but when you’re familiar with shooting that weapon that way it’s not a problem.

When I think about it you made some good points. I’m just bitching too much, I’ll get used to the change. Thanks for the responses.

I stand by my statement! Screw that gun, it is too slow. For the last couple of days I tried to adjust to this slow rof and for the love of god PLEASE change it SD this is for you.
