Please make glass more visible
Your screen shot is from PC, so I guess you’re on PC? Where you sit close to the screen. And the screen shot is also close to the glass.

I’m not a new player, and sit further from the screen as it’s on console. I also have gamma right up. No amount of arguing will change the fact that it is a problem for me (that is annoying, not game breaking). And apparently I’m not alone.
This is a good point. I play PC too and don’t have an issue with the glass.
I wouldn’t really care if glass got a darker tint but maybe it’d help on the consoles?

On console in particular I think this would be a big help. Now that I have over 100 hrs into the game I know where all the glass is np, but at launch it was hard to tell at times. The worst part IMO is on parts like Terminal where you are in an all glass room and trying to discern the exits. IMO it’s easy at a distance, but the closer you are the harder it is to tell.

(BiigDaddyDellta) #23

It’s the same with the new sheild attachments on the guns, the glass is hard to even tell it’s there but I suppose when it comes to that it’s a good thing. they are a cool idea but they are going to take up A TON of space on your screen.

But I agree in sec tower i am always shooting the glass when they are returning the intel to get Nachiev.

Make glass shatterable. Removes some of the choke points.

(NthLegion) #25

This was real problem for me when I first got the game, and didn’t know any of the maps. Even with 95 hours played, I still shoot the glass sometimes. Also, there are areas of the game that are way too dark, and no amount of adjusting the brightness fixes it, like the conduit on security tower.

(RabidAnubis) #26

This is a problem? You guys must be birds or something XD

(R_Shackelford) #27

Terminal is definitely the worst.

(FrankieGodskin) #28

The first room of terminal (where you hack), the atrium entrance in Resort, and the defending spawn at the end of Resort have glass which is difficult to see.

I remember the first time I played brink and put a whole clip into a dude and was like wtf? Oh, hes behind a window. Argh, couldnt tell. I think as a heavy u should just be able to run through the glass and grab someone by throat. That would be sick

It’s harder to tell if something is glass the farther away you are. I personally think it’s great. I just think of it as some sort of super clear, super strong Arkoral-based glass.

I think it’s a fun game mechanic as I’ve seen players on both sides try to open fire on each other only to get the flying shards of glass vfx.

Good times,
JJ

I do enjoy dancing around glass while dueling and reloading and weapon swapping.

And thats why I’ve allways questioned myself, if this(hard to distinguish glass) is intentional. For those respective reasons. It took me quite a while to realize that there is a third entry(+ this little window thing) at terminal. The entry between the side entry and the one in front of the “hack-box-plant-spot”. I won’t tell you how long it took me 'cause its quite awkward.
