We need a lobby system for competitive 360 players. This game will take a major hit on the 360 if there’s no lobby system. This game looks amazing, and I had incredibly high hopes for it, but we need a lobby system that allows people to talk and gather in a room before the game is started. Perhaps SD has put some sort of way to keep clans or friends playing together in different ways, but a lobby system is pretty much needed for anyone who wants to play GBs or competitive privates/tournaments in Brink.

In case we don’t get lobbies, in a private match, can we get everyone to join, then form the teams and restart the match to make it a fair start for both sides?

That’s not, to the best of MY knowledge (I have seen a number of streams, but do not have the game myself) known at this time by the general public.

I guess a way it could work is to get your team to all join first and play against the bots, then towards the end get the other team to join. Then the real match would begin when the next one starts. But I am still hoping for a lobby system real bad.

There was some talk of the possibility of a ready-up period, which would make the most sense for private matches. This has not been confirmed or denied as far as I know.

If they really want it to be a competitive title like they say, then there should definitely be some system like the ready-up period or warm-up. Once again, a lobby would still be the best.

It’s always nice to see ignorant snarky comments when all we’re trying to do is help. If you’re happy with all of the Brink announcements, cool, we’re not, so do you have to troll our thread? You obviously are either completely ignorant, or half ignorant half troll. Either way, GG.

The warm-up period is an OK idea, but I can think of tons of circumstances in which a lobby system makes everything so much easier. I guess we’ll just have to see, but I would really hate this game to die early because of something so basic.

It’s a hype killer for a lot of people and right now is keeping the game from having a ladder on Gamebattles.

I already bought the game, so I’ll play it regardless but I’d prefer it be as best as possible.

If there is no lobby it will be very difficult to establish a solid competitive community on the consoles, it’s possible but rather hard.

Refreshing this… we NEED a lobby. Please. I know you are busy with the lag issues but IMO this should be #2 on the list. Again… please.

Not only for the reasons already listed in this thread, but also for the simple reason of being able to customize your character between matches. Really silly that you have to back out to the main menu in order to change things around.

A great game that still needs a lot of fixing. I’m hoping that you (SD) can deliver the patches needed to make this good game a great one.

Bumped. We need lobbies, and IMO it’s the most important problem. Friends can’t play with eachother without doing it the game wants them to, and it’s not cool when you can’t have a lobby that you take to different parts of the game.

Pretty sure that was a totally serious post, since there is a warm-up period in Competitive mode.
