thnks alot for that that helped alot
but i still cant figure out how i make scripts in for example notepad

(squadjot) #4

ffs… if ure gonna edit ANYTHING u need to know that all these script/arena/camera/shader/nstuff files…are pure text.

you COULD copy one of the exisitng files, duplicate it…and simply rightclick>open with><select wordpad>

OR

you can simply create any txt file… and simply rename the .txt extension to whatever…

you sure u dont need the “PC’s drivers license” before throwing urself at this…??

(kgbdino) #5

ive tried to change the extension from .txt to .script but it doesnt seem to work
and beside every good editor was once a noob who didnt know a thing and at this moment i am a noob at scripting and stuff like it

}

when making any files in NOTEPAD for mapping…such as;.SHADER .ARENA .MAP .SCRIPT

just save the file as the ‘files-name+extension’ >>>>>>and choose to save as ALL FILES<<<<<< Very important.

Yeah eb is right when you come to saving your script or arena file look for the drop down menu “Save as type” that by default will say “Text Documents (*.txt)” , select this to “All Files”
then in the File Name box type it as yourmapname.script then save it :smiley:
