Because phoenix can self revive very fast. If you are arty or rhino, thank you, please again, dont revive phoenix.

Why this post?
I was playing as phoenix and got killed. My selfrevive was almost complete, when somebody playing rhino deciced to help me.
Guess what happend?
Selfrevive gone, and slow healing procedure started. And during this looong reviving, rhino was killed and we both gibbed.

I dont know if its a bug or intended, but phoenix’s selrevive should have priority over revive from non-medical class so selrevive wont reset.

It doesn’t cancel it, just the revive circle of the person helping you up goes on top.

mine was canceled and normal non medic reviving procedure started…

It doesn’t matter if someone starts helping you during your self-revive. You still get up at the same time your self-revive finishes. Maybe you took your finger off the button? :stuck_out_tongue:

Nope. If you can, you should try to help up a friendly Phoenix. Their self rez may be on cooldown atm.

I had the same situation. Self-revive overrides non-medic revive. Same as Defib overrides non-medic revives. And ye, help a Phoenix. He can spare a self-revive for a better time.

Why wouldn’t you? It shouldn’t cancel. That self revive might be clutch as fuck later on.

Yeah, if another Medic gets Phoenix back on his feet, then to have Phoenix self-rez is a waste. Unless that Medic was covering Phoenix from enemy fire.

The actual appropriate times for you to ever actually bother hard-reviving someone are so few and far between imo.

So far I’ve never had my self revive lost cause of someone else reviving me.

I have personally done the slow revive on a phoenix to have it canceled by them jumping back up. You just let go of your E when the Rhino came up to you.
