This is my first post here : ), i really love what I have seen so far of it, and even pre buy it via steam.
Now my concern is about the graphics quality after buyng Black Ops i was really disapointed with the low graphics quality even with maxium settings, its clearly a xbox game ported to pc, just look at the uber low resolution textures everywhere :< So please make Brink a proper PC game, and then tune down the graphics for the xbox, and not do it to xbox and leave the same graphics to Pc : x
Please dont make this game a direct port of xbox version
Your concerns are a bit late into development.
And if you have read the forums, about 2 thread below this one, you’d know they are not porting anything but are working on 3 versions simultaneously.

SD is a PC developer and they already confirmed that the PC version is getting a special treatment.
German site PCGH has already played the PC version and they stated “it looks wonderful with AA+AF running and the mouse-keyboard controls are very satisfying and precise”
So there’s no need to worry.
youngguns: could you supply a link? isch kann ja deutsch…
edit: well there it is in english, mates! its a bit techi (and old) but new infos for me:
no problem.
I’ve translated the important parts for the non-german guys (don’t be too critical with mistakes).
The game was shown on a PC, which SD won’t neglect as there are for example dedicated servers.
In terms of engine SD trust in id software’s “id Tech 4” known from games like Doom 3. At first glance there are many parallels to former “id Tech 4” games, but looking at it again you see animations as soft as butter, great lightning with crisp shadows and only a handful of bad textures. This makes Brink already a matured game in terms of graphics.
Beefy characters and a slight comic touch with warm colours makes it seamless. It’s rounded off with slight motion blur and a bit of depth of field.
AA and AF are already active in the preview-build, streaming works wonderful. The sound is full to massive, locating shots works well even with a standard headset.
You don’t need a high-end machine as the devs want it to be resource-efficient due to the focus on MP. The preview ran stable at around 100fps.on the mouse+keyboard controls:
Direct and crisp handling, accurate aiming and superb feedback. The guys know their craft.

Soz for double posting :< but anyway its great to know that the pc will have a dedicated version of it, and that it runs at stable 100 fps with antiliazing and stuff on, i have those always off : D
