Please do something about Vassili

The amount of hackers using Vassili right now is crazy. The fact he can 1 shot mercs makes him the obvious choice for hackers and they are abusing the crap out of him right now. If I play 10 games in a day at least 3 of them will have a hacking Vassili either on my team or the enemy team and they don’t even try to hide it anymore. Since I don’t see the hacker problem ever being totally fixed the only way I see to fix this is nerf Vassili. As 1 hacker told me openly in game chat “I have been hacking for weeks and haven’t got caught and if I do it’s a F2P game, I will make another account and be back in an hour” so please do something.

Nerfing vassili will fix nothing - he could have to shoot you in the noodle four times to kill you and all aimbotters would do is switch loadouts to the semi-auto rifle… and shoot you in the noodle four times before you realize what’s going on. Vassili isn’t the problem. The anti-cheat is, since it’s basically non-existent.

Ok…so after they nerf Vassili and hackers move to Rhino, do you wanna nerf Rhino? And than they move to Fragger getting unlimited frags, do you wanna remove his ability? No, nerfing isn’t the answer, banning them is, which is coming in the next update.

In other news, there are not cheaters in 30% of games. Just throwing that one out there. As someone who plays mostly competitive games, where the cheaters are hardest to deal with due to the lack of kick functions, cheaters are much rarer than that. I’ve seen like… 3 confirmed. Tops. Ever.

I keep seeing people say “I have seen 2 or 3 cheater ever” well you are very lucky sir. Just in the games I record I have got about 10 or 12 cheaters on video and that’s not counting the games I didn’t record. I have even had quite a few admit over in-game chat they were hacking and didn’t care because if they get banned they make another account for free and hack again. Go on Youtube or Google and type in Dirty Bomb hacks and see what comes up.

Please tell me how any nerf will stop people who are obviously cheating, using methods outside of what the game allows to win? Add sway? Aimbot makes sway pointless! Reduce the damage?

How many instant aimbot headshots can you actually affect by reducing the damage without making him completely useless as a sniper? Keep in mind that I have seen machine pistols used with aimbot to instakill people which he also has. Reduce his health? Doesn’t matter if aimbots instakill you.

Literally nothing you can nerf will stop cheaters it will only punish legit players. Reminds me of some real world issues…

Yeah true, was just throwing an idea out there. I feel like if it wasn’t instant kill I could at least do something

It’s not just hackers, Vassili is simply too easy to use. I’m the worst sniper in most games but even I top the scoreboard on kills whenever I pull it up. It makes no sense that there isn’t any scope swap or penalty to jumping and shooting while scoped.

Only true against bad players. Try playing Vassili, effectively, against people with half a brain and you find real fast that he is one of the hardest classes in this game to do well with. Headshots in this game ARE NOT easy, body shots are only mildly effective and if you’re good you’ll (if nothing else) be on gibb duty on downed enemies.

Sorry, I am just tired of people throwing this statement around because it’s pure BS. Everyone says “It’s so easy, it’s so easy” yet I see maybe ONE good sniper every few days. Most snipers can’t hit shit, the ones who can hit shit can’t ever hit the head of a moving target.

The only time he seems godlike is against bad players, which generally goes hand in hand with complaint threads (See the Phantom effect.) Why? Because bad players move slow, in a straight line and or completely stand still. Trust me, after practicing getting headshots on a wall bouncing Aura for a few rounds and hitting players like that in the face is insulting easy and they DESERVE it.

Sway would be stupid, there is accuracy problems with after you shoot, you’re blind if you don’t think you need to re-center and of course the damn bullets go straight, it’s the point of the weapon. The fuck you want it to do, zigzag to the target?

Also, fun fact. Aim punch isn’t and almost never has been a factor for Vas because his popular loadouts have Focus in it and even then a good Vas more than likely isn’t going to be shot by you in the first place because a good Vas isn’t sitting in the open waiting for you. So the “only thing keeping him in check” as you put it, isn’t even a factor for him to begin with which just goes to speak to your lack of understanding of how the hell Vas actually works in a proper game.

Sorry, I know. I seem like a jerk and am being harsh right now but I get sick and tired of seeing these threads just like I got sick and tired of seeing all the Phantom threads, especially when the vast majority of the information or “Opinions” are just factually wrong. It gets on my nerves after awhile.

I maybe find a hacker once a 3 days… But I think I’ve been reported several times for just having an intuition that there is a head going to pop-up. (Usually people start peaking after a couple of seconds. Just gotta time it right.) Meh. You know what, maight? Add me on Steam. Whenever there is a hacker, I will make sure to record it and report him. I have experience with hackers, as I’ve been admin on 6 servers on another game. I can see it within a couple of minutes if the person is hacking or not…
