Please create option to mute individual player text chat

Given the “DON’T BE A DICK” motto/theme, would it be possible to either make MUTE PLAYER also mute that player’s text chat or add an IGNORE PLAYER’S CHAT function to the players menu?

Many times there is a player or players that insist on typing lame or negative crud where it would be sooo handy to Rule 14 them by simply not having to see their childish rubbish in the game chat anymore.

For me personally, this would really improve my enjoyment of what I think is a pretty damn great game.

while I don’t run into too many trolls in game (mostly b/c I’m too busy stomping on them :stuck_out_tongue: ) I DO agree with this. No one likes toxic players

For voicechat you can use “muteAll” and “mutePalyer” in console. I’m not sure, but I think it works for trext chat too.

I have met a few toxin players, I mean like they insult you and teabag you on every kill. But I do rage chat a lot which people can find annoying, but being toxic is worse.

Teabagging is fine but insulting them is a different story.

This has been brought up before and a dev said it’s a bug that muting a player doesn’t mute their text chat and that they’re fixing it but it’s taken them quite a while, as usual for SD.

They need to split the options.
