If you’re willing to wait for hours to find a match, by all means go ahead. I dont think there are enough 100+ players to be able to consistently find a match. Good idea though.

you hardly ever see minlvl20 played, sadly. Nobody wants to be that one player to join an empty min20 and hope people will come.

Maybe we will have them in the future but first SD needs to:

  1. Quit f**king up.
  2. Fix bugs that have been in the game since Alpha.
  3. Stop making secret changes that receives hate from the community but is still ignorant about it.
  4. Stop implementing ridiculous ideas like seriously, wtf are the thinking?
  5. Actually do necessary things by prioritizing their sh*t right.

Only works if you ask friends over, and if you’re past level 20 and have a good amount of high level friends you might as well just get them to play PUGs.

Basically this. You even get the benefit of friendly fire on and you can choose the map of your liking instead of being presented the selection of dome, trainyard and terminal.

What secret changes? Can you give some examples? Or do you not know. And if you don’t know, how are we to know they exist? And if we can’t know they exist, or if you know, then how are they secret? :smiley:

In my experience, PUGs are kinda torturous… DBN ones are basically just ranked, where people pick teams dodge ball style, then they actually coordinate what they want, and then they REQUIRE you to play what they ask. You can’t do anything besides Medic in PUGS if you’re me, despite being a decent Stoker or good at other mercs. It’s absolutely not fun imo. The last 6 pugs I’ve been in, they’ve asked me to go Medic. :frowning:

In PUGs outside of DirtyBomb, you pick what you WANT to play, and then the team coordinates with what you’ve already decided. If you try to do that in DBN, they’ll just replace you with someone else. It’s not teamwork focused (or maybe it’s TOO teamwork focused) imo. I wish that they could actually give double credits for the pain I’ve gone through on those servers.

What are YOUR experiences with PUGs? Do you actually find them fun? Or are PUGs literally just for the “challenge” in DB?

PUGs are the only time you can actually have fun in DB outside of cups.

almost everyone knows that most players over say 70 are bug abusers.why wasnt there lvl reduced ?

I would say level 50 would be better i think there are more than enough players over level 50 or getting close to that level. I would still recommend placing this type of server in areas with the proper player pool. i don’t think all areas of the world have the player pool for it right now.

Sometimes they make it unclear or without any obvious warning. I remember in the past where they changed things such as mercs deployable strengths/health, speed, health and such (don’t quote me on this, I don’t remember clearly I just remember something along those lines) but sometimes it was a bug however sometimes it was intentional which left the community questioning the decision.

You can always just announce “I’m playing X” right at the start when roles are being chosen. Or be a captain yourself and pick other players who you consider good medics.
