Please change the competetive punishment for leaving

(chicHouse) #1

I was in comp just minute ago and there was cheater in another team. Sure, I will never play with f*** cheaters so I left that match. But funny thing is, penalty + loss is given to me.

Maybe game should punish cheaters instead of normal players. There is no point to sit in spawn and waing for instakill. So what about following changes

  • no derank for leaving
  • no punishment for leaving

In case, that all 5 players from team report one particular player for cheating?

In the next update we will be getting a “surrender” option for matches. Not a 100% fool-proof “fix”, because it will count as a loss, I believe, however it will mean you can end a competitive match without the abandonment penalty.

It’s a start, but not a full fix like I said. The abandonment penalty will NEVER be removed from competitive, that is a given. :S

F that. I want them to suspend the leavers from matchmaking with an escalating amount of time. 3 hours, 12 hours, 2 days, 5 days, 7 days, permanently. With a system in place to let them drop down 1 tier for 3 days of no leaving.

I understand your little rage, but Im talking about unfair games, cheating. How we are supposed to win over aimbotter? game has no point then. There should be another option, leaving without punishment because of cheating.

The forfeit option coming in the next patch should do fine. Although I would prefer a system like CSGO where the stats of any match involving a confirmed cheater are completely void. Otherwise I could have a friend cheat and boost me up. Which increases the motivation to cheat.

That said, I realize rank is meaningless in this game due to uneven matches. But I still think people will cheat for the above reason.

Best to save that for when the NGS anti cheat crash is fixed. Not sure if getting kicked due to the security violation counts but that would be annoying to have it tiered like that when you can get kicked for nothing.

That’s already how the system works. Penalties are tiered (up to 72 hours) with a reduction after 1 week without abandoning a match.

You have 5 minutes to return to the game before it counts as leaving.

It doesn’t ramp up fast enough and there is no permanent ban.

whar @riptide said. the amount of leaversin the game is a clear indication that penalties dont ramp up fast enough.

Of course you should be punished for leaving a competitive match!

How is the game supposed to know that there’s an aimbotter on the server? If he is there then clearly the anti-cheat hasn’t caught him yet. And no, everyone reporting him is not a good indication of an aimbot. You’ll get an option to surrender in the next patch, and that’s all you need.
