Please ban JiM and CyborgRommel - footage of griefing with votekick abuse

(K1X455) #21

Dealt with this character before. He is the epitome of a DB’s definition of a d*ck.

In all fairness, he annoys, everyone, noob and experienced players alike.

He’s OK for a player, it’s just that he’s a d*ck.

Edit:
Being in such a small DB ANZ community, I’ve known JiM’s antics since my late level 20s. I mistakenly gave the benefit of the doubt that he was just being salty as everyone does every now and then, but knowing that he took his bad behavior to a new level to the point that a thread like this exists warrants some sort of administrative action against them.

Please don’t take this as a hate JiM & CyborgRommel thread, but rather an escalated call for administrative action.

I can confirm that JiM is a massive tumor on the Aussie Dirty Bomb community and would love to be rid of him. He is consistently toxic, and I disagree that the solution is to ignore him. Not only will he just continue to do it to other people if not dealt with, but it will also send the signal to other players who may be tempted to do the same things he does that it’s okay and they won’t be punished for it.

(Melinder) #23

@Szakalot It’s more than just the two of them, but they are the ones who always initiate the kicks, their minions are always there for backup votes. The minions themselves are generally harmless when their master(s) are absent.

(ProfPlump) #24

Also, it’s kind of hard to just ‘ignore’ being votekicked and temp banned from the limited servers that we have.

(Yoma) #25

Well wow, im glad having a 300 ping on AUS server and therefor not join there.

On EU there are aswell some people running around who seem to just join to insult others instead of playing (or insult while theyre dead, they tend to have a lot of time for insulting) or little groups of kids who do various kinds of stuff like intentionally switching teams to imbalance the game heavily and worse stuff. :unamused:

However, these 2 mentioned above are without a doubt way worse and worth being banned from the game. Good luck with that and i hope that they will get what they deserve.

EDIT
JiM has done the same to me, abuse the vote kick system, he is a clear concise video of it

Some more

JiM then proceeded to harass and threaten me with violence.
Video of JiM saying that he knows my name and my address and its “time to say goodbye”

Video of JiM saying he will come to the place I work and find me at the train station to “drop me”

I have sent all of the above to Nexon and in return they have done nothing.

So I have gone to the police with this information as JiM is not only griefing in game but has broken Australian laws. Specifically ‘Using a carriage service to make a threat to cause serious harm’ http://www.smartsafe.org.au/legal-guides/legal-guide-relevant-criminal-offences-nsw

Which has a maximum penalty: Imprisonment for 7 years.

Nexon won’t ban JiM, fine, I’ll see to it that he goes to jail! I don’t think they will let him play Dirty Bomb in a prison cell

(ClemClem7) #27

@poit187
Haw did you know his name ? Because police don’t have criminal records of steam pseudonyms AFAIK.
Anyway, if it isn’t enough for SD to ban him, I don’t know how we could make him banned.

Remember, don’t be a JiM, and play Dirty !

Normally you wouldnt need his name but simply make an charge against a person/institution unknown and they would maybe locate him through his IP by asking his provider.

Im not 100% sure if they would do it this way and if they do it at all in this case because its quite some work, so well, its just how it would be logical to me.

If its indeed evidently same one person doing this kind of repetitive, harsh even coordinated abuse, it seems like a massive error from Nexon’s customer support not to take action. Paying users or not, due one pitiful individual multiple other’s experience of the title they publish is dragged down by a lot. Bad pracise, bad advertise.

Either they should to freshen up their policies or do something else about the subject to get the people in question receive some punishment of their actions. I do give Nexon some leeway about the fact that “online abuse” is a large issue with humongous gray areas, but this seems straight up illegal as one on this thread has already pointed out.

I mean… If everyone who made a personal threat on the internet got taken to jail we wouldn’t have enough jails to house them… Really good footage of his dickiness though - fucking hope Nexon/SD sees it…

(Freezer_Boss) #32

Well with all these proofs, if they do nothing it’s pure bs

(ClemClem7) #33

I dont see someone go to a policeman and say:
“I played against a dick on a video-game, and he threatened me.”
Some policemen will say “come on its a game” because they don’t take it seriously or its too much work for them to locate people with IP address.
Or maybe they asked steam to give information. Idk if steam is cooperative or not.

@poit187
Anyway, if SD don’t take care of him, law will do it. Report him to the police is the good reaction if he threatened you.

Indeed, its one thing to take someones word for it but quite the other with factual video recordings… so either Nexon/Splash Damage don’t care or … no… pretty sure they just don’t care

(ProfPlump) #35

He hasn’t said a single word to me today while I was playing with/against him (when I got this footage) which was VERY strange… I think his mic must be broken lol

(Supersneaky) #36

@ProfPlump he abused the shit outa me earlier lol its 100% working…

(doxjq) #37

Lol, check JiM’s profile. Has changed his name like 50 times to take JiM off his profile. Clearly he is worried.

I had a video on my channel (I have since made it private) that linked me to a website I run, JiM must of found this and did a whois on the domain (doesn’t take a genius to google ‘whois domain’. This is how he got my name and address. So when he says he has my name and address I believe it, plus he made several references to other videos I made, including the one that linked me to the website I run - again, clear indication he watched most if not all my videos to try and track me down.

As for my place of work, I have (in passing) talked about it in game (JiM was not on the server to my knowledge) but word can get around, so thats how he knows where I work. And he specifically mentions that in one of the videos I posted earlier.

This issue goes well beyond your usual trolling / griefing… this is now a criminal matter.

(Supersneaky) #39

so where the hell is nexon.
