f1 f1 f1 f1 f1

(zeroooo) #3

yep, there need to be an option to skip maps…

(Samurai.) #4

Yeah definitely need vote… wanted to change map on TDM server for SS purposes and couldn’t. But in general need votes.

(Kendle) #5

I don’t think this would be a good idea at this stage, we’re here to test not play, if you could skip the “bad” maps they’d never get played and SD wouldn’t get feedback on why they’re bad.

(potty200) #6

If only they had a vote for “next map” on the VIP server :\

(Seanza) #7

I don’t want people to be able to skip maps right now because we’re here to test them.

(_RaiM) #8

For a retail version of the game, it would be a good thing, and i think that SD will implement it… but for testing purposes, we don’t need a vote function as longer as we need to test all the maps, isn’t it ?

(pulley) #9

sure we should test them. but London Bridge atm is so ****ed up. No1 likes it… So we can test it when SD is changing the Layout of that map…
Shuffle Teams Vote should be added…

(prophett) #10
  • for adding shuffle / team balance
  • for adding map voting

(Verticae) #11

Alternatively, SD could take maps in/out of rotation like they do classes.

(Breo) #12

Also votekick for afk players or an autokick for players who don’t move for 3 minutes.

(iwound) #13

i vote no for votes.

(Pizzinator) #14

I like London Bridge

(Volcano) #15

this is exactly what will happen, add it in when the open beta starts maybe

(Nail) #16

add it in at release, not before. Until release we’re still testing

(TacTicToe) #17

While I agree with what you have said, if the server empties out when a certain map comes up, you won’t get feedback anyways because there is no one to play the map. If anything, it might be more of an indicator of a map to drop all together, rather then try to continue to develop a map that people are not going to want to play. Why waste the time and energy?

(Kendle) #18

Because I’ve been around long enough to know that you’ll never get a consensus on what is and what isn’t a good map. If SD dropped everything that a handful of people in a tiny group of Alpha testers didn’t like they’d never make anything.

You don’t get better maps by saying “nah, don’t like that one, make another”; you get better maps by playing the bad ones and explaining why they’re bad.

(Volcano) #19

and in turn getting better made maps like camden and canary

(Anti) #20

We’ll eventually have a map vote system, and a team balance system. We’re not focusing on them right now because…

[ul]
[li]We need you to test all the maps and provide feedback for them during alpha
[/li][li]We have other more important things we need to finish up first
