i’m currently using some script_movers for playing sound loops, because i can stop the sound via stopsound, whereas disablespeaker only interrupts the sound after the loop reached it’s end and thus makes it hard to sync with other events, is there a way tocounter that problem?
what other drawbacks has playsound vs speakers? is there a way to change the range of a playsound command?

target_speakers have advanced options, like volume, activator only, global, and stuff like that.

but they can’t interrupt a sound that they are currently playing…
btw: playsound has a volume command, too

target_speakers can stop/start a looping sound no problem, but they cannot stop a single shot sound effect.
If you use a looping target_speaker simply triggering the speaker will make it stop or start immediately.

hm, it works correctly with a 40 secs wav but there have been problems with shorter sounds… or i messed it up… :banghead:
anyways, it works now
