I’ve had two friends with this issue so far. There names were just basic western alphabet names with no special characters involved.
They appeared as Player1137 or something similar.
The first friend restarted his game before loading in to the match and he had the correct name after this.
The second friend let the game load in and it crashed on connection and they had to restart the game.
