Playermodel skeleton file

(nUllSkillZ) #1

Hi,

I’m looking for a skeleton file of the player model for milkshape.

At the moment I’m trying to create one on my own.
I’ve had a look at ikanatto’s archive files for the needed bones.
Actually I’m not sure about the naming of the bones.
Or if two shoulders are needed etc…
Unfortunately the mds importer I’ve found for gmax isn’t working.
So I can’t take a look at one of the RTCW mds files.

Any help appreciated.

I have an mds importer but it only works on 3d Max 6
I’d like to help, tell me what you want.

I’ve found a skl file in the following post:
http://www.splashdamage.com/index.php?name=pnPHPbb2&file=viewtopic&t=11447&start=30&sid=5dca0f0dc6c5b9673dd19c794d5fe09a

There I should find the names for the bones.
Thanks.

Edit:

Seems that the skeleton is pretty much the same as the calve skeleton that comes with milkshape.
Only differences are the No. of toes and fingers.
And some dummy bones.

I’ve changed the valve skeleton a little bit and attched some boxes to the bones to test the MOHAA exporter.
It doesn’t look that bad.
Actually only minor discrepancies between the SKL file I’ve found in the above mentioned post and the MOHAA SKL file.
Only thing I have to know now where I have to put the following bones:

BONE 0 -1 u_body
BONE 1 -1 u_rthand
BONE 2 -1 u_lfthand
BONE 3 -1 l_legs
...

Then I could do a complete conversion from Milkshape via SKL via MDS to MDM.
