player models

i ve searched the forum to find a way to create own player models -
but found no way for it?

i there now a way to make this?

i m able to inmport the models into lightray -
the animations work fine -
but if i export them without any changes it results in a mess of pixels…

now i seach for working a way to make custom player model -
do you have a idea?

i had a look at this ischbinz…when you save the mdm you have to save the animation too? right?

so i think what you’ll have to do is to load the model with all animation and when you save it you will have to save all animation…and with the same name as the normal if it should work in wolf…understand?

yes - but i tried diffrent things - like

save it as a mds file and convert it with ikanottos tool - pixel salad
save it as mdm - pixel salad

its strange - any1 have experience with lightray?

tried to export the u_body and fix it in milkshape…then tried to import it into the mdm…but for some reason it will not be saved toghether with it… this is not an easy task …i’ll tell u …but i keep trying to find a solution… the problem is that i don’t like to work with lightray…it’s too complicated it seems…

well i did a few steps in to the right way i think -
i got a playermodel -
but working only in “etmod v0.1”
ingam i see only a head with a gun :frowning:

still hope that any model pr0 have a idea…

a well know friend told me (uje “c”) that there are no normals inside my file - but i dunno how to add them :frowning:

Try making sure that everything (mesh wise) is selected when you export. Then it should export everything selected.

Not always. He meant to select every objective you want to export.

sure - if not the model will shown the nice orange -black thing for missing shaders :slight_smile:

not always…if the md3 adress is wrong inside the md3 the model won’t show up,
this i know from the cov ops on the terminator mod:)

ischy got the model working
muahaha!

but
now i ve some trouble with the texture-
the color is strange ingame - and i don t have a idea what happens :frowning:
maybe someone can help me?

ah no that is NOT the eliteguard model!!!

(but is itallowed to converte the animation from mdc to mdx?)

Well textures tends to be lighter ingame than on desktop due to change of gamma, if this is what you mean…

no the texture is one color on the complete body - but the legs and arms are dark-grey - the color on the b00bs is okay :wink:

Also, he/she/it (with the head and all) seems to suffer from overbreasting.

I find that boys who have never seen real breasts tend to over compensate, possibly due to their own “shortcomings”

okay texture problem solved - added a other shader.
