player cfg

hello…
how can i make cfg where:

WHEN I WILL PRESS C (crouch) figure will stay down when i wilderness a button…?
like on Call Of Duty or something like that :wink:

i found this one on google for quake3, perhaps it will work too:

// RichmanRush's crouch toggle
bind F12 "vstr crouchtoggle"
set crouchtoggle "vstr crouch"
set crouch "+movedown; set crouchtoggle vstr stand; echo ^8Crouching"
set stand "-movedown; set crouchtoggle vstr crouch; echo ^8Standing"
// end crouch toggle

… but be aware, that this will slow down your moves, like u won’t be able to jump because that ‘macro’ is still working, like holidng crouch button. i say it’s not worth it.

mm maybe you could use this in combinations with binding something new to spacebar too, combine 2 buttons.
should be possible imo. then it will be just like cod (don’t have time to suggest something now, but it would be something like bind space “-movedown; +moveup; -moveup; set srouchtoggle vstr crouch”

may need some waits.

basically, all u need is rebind crouch to left control button (if u play with WASD layout). then u can strafe right, wich is pretty complicated when crouch is set to C.

set it to mouse 4 :smiley:
