Do you enjoy the game? Want it to stick around? If you answered yes to both of those then that is why. If no then fair enough. Supporting a free game that you enjoy allows further development.

It’s not always possible, many people myself included play F2P games because we don’t have a lot of expendable income for games and or can’t spend much atm but if you can and you enjoy it then you should.

“Hey, it’s a free2play, why would you spend real money on it?”

What would be the point of opening a free2play server just for the sake of it? They need to make money somehow. Namely Skins, Weapons Skins, Boosters…

And it works. But… there’s always the guy that buys them, and the guy that complains.

Keeping the server alive costs money. You need to have Systems running 24/7. That is NOT cheap. I can assure you that, since I used to run a Flyff Private Server for 2 years.

You can contribute to an F2P game by simply being a player even if you never spend money. Having a large community of players is extremely valuable to any game regardless of it being F2P or not. Just hopefully there are people who are willing to throw money at the developers if they believe it’s worth it.

Sure, that attitude sucks but if they are playing they are valuable similar to how a viewer on Twitch is valuable to a streamer with partnership. Sure, that person might not be paying money to watch but they are at least there watching and potentially contributing to the community in a positive manner.
