Plans on a Dirty Bomb animation

(GmanGavin) #1

Hello to anyone reading this I am Gavin, I have been on my way of learning many programs with many future plans however one of the most recent happens to be many adobe programs due to the adobe membership. Now I plan on making an animation and livestreaming my work to making it, I have never made an animation before but I do have experience with photoshop, illustrator, and after effects.

I come to ask one question: Should I make the art in photoshop or illustrator
Note: After Effects is what I’ll be using for animation, why? Through adobe forums and past questions after effects is recommended for video animations and adobe flash is recommended for interactive animations.

For an animation, I would go mainly with Illustrator, because vectors can always be adjusted. And I’m a bit biased towards Illustrator, because I can use it better than Photoshop.

Still, you could use a combination of the two. I frequently start a piece in Illustrator and then export it to Photoshop for finer details.

Ultimately, you should use whichever program you’re most comfortable with, and can give you results closer to what you imagine the final project looking like.
