Hey guys with brink so close to release now i just wanted to start a thread to see what plans people have for release day.

I my self have bought a razor Onza (TE) so ill have a nice new pad to play with, me and my friends (6 of us) have all planned to head over to mine, we have all taken days off work and uni to. the kitchen is full of snacks and drinks so we are fully prepared for a our own little LAN fest.

That sounds like fun, I wish I was doing that with my friends. Probably going to just hop online and get used to the game

I’m going to try and get some of my Steam friends who are interested and just … do whatever I guess, though I suspect many people will be quite busy during the day.

I’ll be going to walmart and picking up my copy at 12 to get a few hours in with my buddies before work

I’ve got some time off between May10th and the start of my Summer Courses. So I plan on being a lazy-ass starting midnight release and staying up until sleep deprivation claims my body. and just enjoy the game.

As for gameplay, I am kind of swaying towards hitting a few challenges before heading into the fray of the story, so that I can unlock a few things before heading in, and get a feel for the engine. Though, I am unsure now as to if Challenges are already available upon 1st start up, or if its a level acquired deal where you have to be a certain lvl to unlock the 1st challenges. =o

Either way, gonna enjoy it all. And like I’ve said before, I already have the HDPVR set up to do some Launch Date gameplay recording for all my YouTube lovers

I’m working for 4 hours past its release (2pm) and when I get home the mrs is at work til 2:30am :frowning:

I’ll probably either jump on and play the challenges, or if I can’t wait for her I’ll jump into the campaign.

I want to run through the campaign first to get the story then I’ll move to free play after I’ve finished the campaign both sides. Security first :).

Me and my real life friends (not you guys) are going to see a movie then get stoned, it’s the last day of exams…and no matter how excited I am about brink…making your brain not work after 4 years of high school, will have to come first.

I’ll be hosting the Brink TV Day 1 Launch Event at 8pm EDT on May 10. Come join the fun!

To kick things off, the Brink TV staff will introduce itself to the community for those who aren’t familiar with the core group’s history as Enemy Territory TV and Quake Live TV.

Roundtable discussion about competitive Brink with guests from the community will follow.

The night will be capped off with a series of live matches that will be open to the entire community, with commentary provided by the Brink TV team.

Day booked off work and will play with whatever friends on my steam list are up for it!

Plan to spend that day and the following weekend getting in as much playtime as possible, after waiting on this game so long its gonna take a lot of gametime to get it out my system. Cant wait.

Work until the usual stopping time. Look at the pretty case when it arrives. Go to the gym. Come home and do dinner. Put the twins to bed. If I’m still awake, I may play the game that night.
