pk3 finished but et does not find it

Hello again,

Ive finished my map and made the scripts, arena file map script objdata and all that stuff, gave them the same name as my map and put them in the map where they belong, .script in maps and arena in scripts.
Now i had to make a pk3 files, i used a winrar, put the files in it, renamed rar to pk3 and i wanted to test the whole thing.

I did not find the map in the maplist, so i tried to make the pk3 again, this time i used winzip, and renamed the zip to pk3.

The map name was now showing up in the create server screen. but when i loaded the map et crashed at once. over and over again.

Wath could be the cause of this crap?

some times winrar freaks out and makes trouble :bash: try another packer like winzip.

I forgot this, do i need to have a trace map to make the pk3 work? :???:

@Kalmah, nope

  1. Can you load your map using /devmap from your mapping environment?
  2. Can you load your map using /devmap from your testing environment (where it is in the pk3)?

I have 2 mapping/testing environments

  1. Mapping environment. This is the environment where I have all of my prefabs, other maps, other works in progress etc.
  2. Testing environment. The only file that goes in here is a pk3 of the map to test for missing assets, textures, etc. The reason for the testing environment is that it’s easy to pick up textures/models/assets from other pk3s, which will/may be missing when you release your map to the public
