I must agree, explosions look so bad its laughable, they have no power or umphhh and look like they were created on a mega drive. Audio lacks power on the big weapons as well.
Piss poor review
Lacks power? WTF does that mean? Does the audio system turn off when you use a large gun?
Don’t lump everyone in to the same category, just because you prefer playing on a PC. For instance, I have a piece of s*** computer, but on the other hand, I have a $3500 TV. Which do you think I’d rather play BRINK on? As a matter of fact, I’ll wager you that BRINK runs better on my XBOX 360 via my Sony SXRD KDS-60A2020, than it will on your (or even a top-of-the-line) PC.
Also, you spelled “general” and “ability” incorrectly (I guess those red squiggly lines underneath those words didn’t show up on your obviously superior PC).
Care to quote the source you got that from?

I know you’re going to jump all over the use of the term “graphics scalability” so here’s something to think about: How many people (who are purchasing BRINK for PC) Have the latest and most capable graphics hardware, or are running it on the equivalent of a gaming PC or laptop?
You’re probably looking at around 30-40%, whereas the majority of PC gamers are most likely working with less, or in some cases, the bare minimum of system requirements.
Case in point? Word on the street is that this game is well balanced for PC, PS3 and XBOX, and there is no clearly discernible preference for game design OR performance.
I have a $4500 1080p Epson powerlite projector with a 100" elite ez framed screen, $2200 energy/ Marantz surround sound, hooked up to my $600 average pc with hardware from 2007(which alone can over power any 3 xbox’s put together) for that mater you don’t need a top of the line pc to run brink at much MUCH higher graphicly performance then any console.
And I gladly accept your wager, I will match any amount of money you put on the table, and take it when you lose that bet that it will run better on your xbox.
I am not getting into an E dick war with you or any one, nor am i fighting about platforms.
By saying the game is well balanced for all systems proves my point, ps3/xbox FPS games, And I believe brink included even come with aim assist/auto have to help compensate(BALANCE) for console controllers, bastardizing bot ai for console is not a uncommon practice to create the same effect. The console market is targeted at the casual gamer, having a more laid back AI would appeal to that market, if a game is set to hard for its market it wont do as well as one that is “balanced” for its intended consumer.
As for my spelling it’s 3-4am when i’m writing this ****, forgive me if I make a mistake or two, i doubt you would have even noticed it if you had not quoted me and saw the auto correction underlines.
The explosions look bad? That’s the last straw, I’m not buying this game, because if there’s ONE reason I purchase an anticipated game like BRINK, it’s the rendering of explosions and the audio quality of large weapon fire.
If you can’t tell, that remark is dripping in sarcasm.

Did you fail to read my entire post? Your argument was, in a sense, that the experience for the average PC game will be superior to that of the average console gamer.
You, my friend, are not the average PC gamer. To be honest, you sound like you have more money than you know what to do with, a situation that not many people find themselves in.
You also dodged the bulk of my other arguments.
In any case, I’m not here to start a flame-war, I’m simply offering a counter-argument.
And yes, I edited my original post to remove the TV-comparison (well before you finished constructing your rebuttal), when I noticed it conflicted with another point I was trying to make. Also, I realized that there’s no point in me comparing personal hardware with you, as I’m trying to argue a general point. Forgive me. Looked up your TV, It’s neither more capable than mine, nor does it cost $4500 – That’s INCLUDING your projection screen. Your expensive surround sound setup has nothing to do with this argument, that’s just you flexing your wallet.
All in all, a DLP Rear-projection television projects sharper picture than a projector, seeing as the image quality of the projector somewhat relies on the screen canvas it is paired with… but let’s not get off track here.
a $600 computer would have a hard time keeping up with an Xbox-360, and it would be difficult to compare performance capability as PS3 and XBOX use custom built hardware.
This is getting very silly.

Although I’m glad to hear you have a slightly more capable model TV than I do, you must be brimming with pride. I’ve been enjoying mine since '07.
I apologize for any undue comments or misinterpreting what you were trying to say. I’m freaking tired. It’s late. I’m going to bed. I dont have a world of money, I have an on going insurance claim from being hit by a truck when i was on my motorcycle, I made a room in which I planed on never leaving again when i left the hospital crippled 2 years ago. I’m a bit better then that now buy my hardware remains.
Good night, have fun playing Brink tomorrow
I’m sorry to hear that, and I’m not trying to belittle you in any sense. I agree, this argument is getting ridiculous. I’m just posing another opinion on the matter.
WELL now I feel like a complete dickhead, I’m going to sleep too. Sorry Otto.
