here are some screens from my map… i have tried to make the map at almost final stage, but i still have problems to clean… with the help of some of you the map got to this level of development:

hope someone will say a comment or something

the version that i have has appropriate sounds for desert and ocean; also contains a command map; it has the soundtrack of “Pirates of Carribean”; It has the guy who comments the constructions and destructions. only does not have a coomand post;

Looks cool. Maybe screenshots are a bit dark?
And 22 Mb is perhaps too much. Maybe you can cut the piratesofcarribean-soundtrack (the .wav-file) in half?

You might want to talk with some of the mappers here about the size of that, I know there has been issues in the past with the file being to big and the players having to up there com_hunkmegs… and most players dont understand how to do that…

ok… the map is just too big… i mean that its nearly 2 times bigger than goldrush…

PS. i am still trying make the rain, but it does not want to show up…

You have to re-generate the tracemap to see the athmospheric effects.
The tracemap also has to be in the “.pk3”.

screens look good, but do u really need custom music? most ppl just have the soundfx on, no music. i noticed in the 2nd screen that the sand has weird shadows on the terrain seams, what shader are you using for the sand?

um, because i named the map Pirates of Mediterranian i put 1 sound…Yeah, when i compiled the map with lights and everything i noticed that the sand is making fun of me …now i think of way to fix this obstacle… i use sand_wave_desert.tga …

i just want to ask a question regarding tunnels, catacombs and everything concering carving the terrain… maybe there is a topic but sorry but i didnt have enough time to search… so: is there an easy way to make tunnels? because i made them by making the tunnel with brushes and then removing all the caulk that standed in my way… so is there another waY?

on that first pic, is it me or did you just copy those ruins from oasis (part in the old city with the big hole in the upper floor) ?

i know this may not be the place, but if someone can help: when i write in the console sv_pure 0; g_gametype 2; devmap pom; the game starts loading the map with the screen: Localhost and Awaiting challenge 1 and nothing happens… everybody know the solution.? i am not asking you to search it because it may be timeconsuming, only if you know it withouth searching for it… i dont want do lose your time…

is it too hard to double an objective? for example the goal of allies is to secure 1 document… is it too hard to make 2 documents? i mean scripting and stuff in the radiant?

you dont script in radiant, and this map is crap for the simple reason you stole parts from oasis, and the fog dosnt go well with the buildings, its too blue
