Yeah, I am, there are other ways you could fix him with guns and such, but my fixes are focused on melee fixes, because it feels like a waste to have the sneaky ninja assassin with the best melee weapon in the game who’s only kill in the scrubs trailer is with the katana to have melee be useless. But yeah, I think there could be some cool thing with like a speed boost after he melee and stuff, hes a phantom and he absorbs their souls or something.[/quote]
Melee isn’t useless, but there is a time and a place for it. It shouldn’t be the primary goal of a player to get melee kills unless they are just messing around(I sometimes do that with nader in pubs). His primary method of killing should not be melee. While he has a cool melee option it is a trap that makes him worse if you focus on using it exclusively.

You didn’t offend me. I try to correct misinformation and get people looking at a topic from the correct viewpoint so that their feedback is more valuable and on point. You can have your opinion on how you want stuff to be. That’s totally fine. Just make sure it’s based in what is real and not something that you might have misunderstood. It’s common that a lot of players saw the Scrubs trailer where Phantom uses his Katana and pistol (and is hilariously extremely visible while using his armor), especially ones who have played TF2 and the Spy, and think Phantom is the melee focused Spy of Dirty Bomb when he’s not.
Normally I’d be a little less abrupt with my responses and try to take time to make a more cordial responses but this subject rubs me the wrong way. So my apologies for my responses most likely seeming a bit edgy. It simply bothers me that he’s 100% a gun merc and always has been a gun merc yet tons of people insist he’s melee and then they get upset because their tactic of running into people head on and trying to melee them doesn’t work very well which prompts the, “OMG FIX PHANTOM” threads that we have by the dozens on this forum.
