pings and other dumb stuff

Please fix the server situation. Its not fun to play on a west coast server with 40 ping while every other player has 170+ ping.

Its super annoying that quick play, match making, and the server browser are all super broken. And have all been just as broken for how long now???

  1. Matchmaking is clearly broken. There are plenty of other threads discussing this.

  2. Quick play is obviously totally ignoring ping and region. Seems it might even be placing players on server with 150+ on purpose? How else are these servers getting populated by %100 high pingers?

  3. The server browser is fail. It shows populated servers in the browser. Join the server and its actually empty. Makes finding a server with people playing a total shot in the dark.

Regarding #2, the problem is: Quick join will not add you to empty server, that’s why people are pushed to US/ASIA/AUS, instead of EU.

After a few more tries I am starting to think Quick Match is less broken than I thought. It seems to be working by putting me on West Coast servers as it should… The problem is everyone else on the servers has insane pings. 170+ while I ping 40.

So yea, could be a combination of broken Quick Match and really dumb people who think high ping is good… And yes, I just encountered some guy who claimed 170+ was better than 10. He literally said he was “raping everyone” with low ping so he chose a high ping server on purpose. lolz

Regardless of the actual culprit of the problem… it is currently FAR too easy to be place in a server with outrageously high ping. Something needs to be done asap.
