Pineapple stat need improvement

If some of my information are incorrect, forgive me, its pretty hard to try to pick up all the bombs around you.

So pineapple is a stat that allow you to pick up and throw grenade on the ground, the problem is other than countering Fragger this stat is useless.

Improvement- you should be able to pick up and throw Nader grenade (you can’t at the moment), further more you should be able to pick up Skyhammer’s air support grenade (before it blow up) (It was hard to play test this so not sure if you can or not), you should be able to pick up Fletcher’s stickey grenade (not sure if we can, hard to play test when no one have Fletcher), You should also be able to pick up heart beat sensor on the ground (I know this won’t really help out the match but make it more fun to have this stat), And you should be able to pick up all of these things on your allies side as well, further more the grenade you pick up should get and +1sec to the fuse so it doesn’t blow up in your face.

This improvement will not break the game, it will make a useless stat useful. :slight_smile:

Nader grenades - Yes
Airstrike markers - Yes
Stickies - Yes
Heart beat sensor - uhm 100% pointless but why not

  • 1 sec fuse time - 100% hell no you need a drawback for balance reason
    Picking up allies stuff - 2000000% are you nuts. The last thing we need is trolls that remove stickies and Airstrikes

Overall propably too much for an augment tho (they are not meant to be gamechanging good).

most of the time when a nader shoots nades i have just enough time to longjump away. i cant imagine this perk to have any use other than the nades you pick up blowing up in your face. i mean that this perk is useless if you cannot delay the fusetime long enough to pick it up and throw it.

Just get rid of it, and every card that has it should get the explosive resistance perk.

Being able to pick up Skyhammer markers would break defending on ev maps, being able to throw back heartbeat sensors will make Vassili’s recon potential useless (in fact actually HARMFUL to your team), and being able to pick up ally’s stuff is just silly.

It should only be for frag grenades (the only thing resembling a pineapple, after all) and it actually is a good idea to add a second to fuse. All decent fraggers cook their nades in order to give you little time to react before it explodes, so you should be rewarded for having quick enough reaction time to pick it up right as it hits the ground (or even mid-air, for extra style points). The only way you could ever get a kill with this perk as of now is against a complete n00b fragger who doesn’t even bother to cook, and I think adding +1 or even +2 seconds after rethrowing would be a legitimate way to make Pineapple Juggler useful instead of just getting rid of it.

Concerning the nitty-gritty coding bits, it would probably be a good idea to set the fuse to 3 if it would go over 3.

The real bad part is not only will he not be able to airstrike the ev, but every time he tries HIS TEAM will get airstriked instead

Just remove it or actually make it work with Nader/Fragger’s grenades - messing with Hammer’s strike would ruin EV map balance.

actually skyhammer’s maker being pineapple wont call down air strike but just work like throwing it indoors, which means it have a 14 sec reset time instead of 1:10. Also have you ever try to pick up skyhammer marker? It’s hard as hell, it have like a sec fuse time.
