One of our artists, Laurens Corijn, enjoys taking ordinary Nerf guns and turning them into something entirely more special. For this latest project, he decided to transform a Stampede ECS18 into the Resistance’s Gerund assault rifle from Brink. The end result is utterly stunning, to say the least. Luckily for us, Laurens has documented the entire creation process, so we can follow it along step by step. There are more photos of the finished article at the end of this post.

Great job, it would be nice if you can make a nerf gun for the next SD game :D, something like a prototype.

It sure looks like the Gerund but does it shoot like it does in game? Did he have to add random spread that makes it impossible to hit what you are aiming for like the digital Gerund?

I think it misses a layer of grime. At most hobby stores you can get weathering powder/sprays these days. They’re used to make miniature tanks seem used and battered but I guess it can easily be applied to this gun and then give it another seal coat.
