Would giving him 110HP be a fair thing to do? He’s quite playable as he is right now, but Sawbonez still feels like somewhat of a superior choice because he has mostly equal 1v1 power against the regular fire supports and Nader. Phoenix sort of has more HP for combat since his self heal is actually viable for attrition, but you don’t always get a corner to hide behind while you heal.
Phoenix's HP
100hp turns into anywhere from 130-170+ hp in extended fights, stick to cover and make use of that 430 movespeed if you can’t beat your opponents quickly enough
Strongly disagree. Phoenix can self-heal reliably, sawbones cannot. That for me is the end of the argument here immediately
Phoenix is a worse medic than Sawbones but considerably stronger on his own.
@gloomyRequirement He can also heal multiple people at once if one communicates properly.
I wouldn’t make any suggestions about health or speed, if SD are really listening to them they’ll probably forget to correctly change character movement speed to match their health pool.
10 health or 10 movement really does a lot, I’ve found myself taking less damage as Phoenix than Sawbonez at any given time but that Healing Pulse does wonders.
I have mixed feelings about the self revive though, it should work like a defib instead of how it does now where one could pop it quickly for less health rather than the rather lengthy process for full health, but that tends to be in moments where I’ve obviously tried to go in alone rather than with the rest of my team.
For my taste 100hp are fine, because i like the speed that comes with the lower health pool. There is just one exceptions, though. And that is fletcher’s stickies. If you could survive a full blast and be it with just 1-5 hp that would be great.
imo he’s a great solo fighter with the capability of being a good group fighter.
Phoenix is my main merc. His 100 HP is fine since he can self revive himself in current situations and instantly heal with his healing pulse. I do better with Phoenix than any other medic, with his speed and quick healing.
110 would be nice, but as it stands it’s not necessary. As long as you don’t waste the pulse on massive charges, you can heal yourself frequently enough it’s not a handicap.
His health at 100 is balanced as it is now. He can heal himself, anyways.
I main Phoenix and I feel 100 is fair and he’s very well balanced. However, I OBVIOUSLY wouldn’t mind him having that extra 10 either to be a bit more sturdy against the rampant amount of explosives or shotgun shells two thirds of the mercs shit out on a regular basis. But you learn to live with it and all the other bullshit flying around. I find him comfortable and have no complaints.
Pretty much this, but I think the general consensus is that Fletcher’s stickies are a problem, so… we’ll see what happens with that.
His health is traded off by his increased speed, he just needs a small buff to his cooldown (probably just on small bursts) to make him viable competitively.

AFAIK they would only reduce the radius of splash damage and not the max damage that counts if you get stuck.
Phoenix getting an HP buff would mean that he needs loadouts to be massively reworked, plus the removal of the Crotzni and Kek-10 from his loadouts. He’s able to stay alive for long periods and can lock down an area if he goes to high ground. Not only that, but he can revive and heal people.
Phoenix’s loadouts are already balanced between each other already. You can’t get a bad loadout with Phoenix, but you almost always get one with Sawbonez.
I’d like to see Phoenix become a lower damage, tankier Sawbonez with more speed, while Sawbonez is able to dish out more damage than Phoenix. Sawbonez’s loadout cards are very imbalanced, and he may need battle rifles (BR-16 and the Stark) in order to keep up with his Crotzni cards anyway.
Let’s keep buffing all the 100 hp mercs 'til they’re all 110 guys. There’s no reason to but let’s do it anyway.
Hey, they nerfed his jumpshooting ability same as Vassili, so obviously he also needs that 10HP buff
And on a serious note - If any buffs are in order I would prefer if they were to his abilities, not HP. Let’s not repeat the fire support situation where 3/4 mercs have the same amount of HP and movement speed. I like the fact that he’s slightly faster than Sawbonez.
The +10 hp was a dumb move to begin with which didn’t address any of his problems and further cemented the MO11 as his best card - why use Unshakeable now when a stickie bomb can’t one shot you anyway at 110.
