Phoenix pls

(Fiktio) #21

Now when Redeye is getting released next, he is 3rd recon merc.
We have already 3 engineer mercs, 3 fire supports, 3 medics and 3 assault mercs.

For me it sounds logical that Redeye came now, when only 2 recon mercs were in the game, but what comes about rest, it’s getting harder to speculate which merc will be released after Redeye. I heard that it’s more likely that we will get sooner those mercs that were in the trailer, but even then there’s room for few unreleased mercs. Phoenix was in the trailer (meanwhile Redeye wasn’t as far as I know, but got released anyways) and I’m waiting him like there’s no tomorrow, but I wouldn’t be disappointed if the next released merc will be someone else. After all new content in the game is always sweet.

I too was hoping for Phoenix to be next but I’m not bummed at all for Redeye seeing as he was someone I was interested in as well. Oh well, at least I have Sawbonez 'til then.

The devs said the E3 trailer mercs would be rolled out sooner than the rest, also that Red Eye would be close to last released because of balancing or something

Oh well, he seems interesting. Maybe there’s hope after all I won’t have to wait 50 years for Aimee.
They released two recons in a row, I doubt Aimee will be next.
Or maybe it is based by old ET classes system(like in spawn Dirty Bomb commands).

Which means we have 3 Field Ops,2 soldiers,3 medics,3 engineers and 3 recon ops.

Which means Thunder should be next to balance all of the 3’s in that.

Maybe.
My source was this page, but it doesn’t mean that my speculations is more right than any other speculation. I might be still wrong, but I’m totally fine with that.

People need to stop hyping up Phoenix because you’ll probably end up not liking the character because he’s weak by design. The main thing that made him strong earlier was his gun (Hochfir SMG) but nowadays it’s just a shadow of what it used to be.

(Jostabeere) #26

And Phoenix would need an instant revive instead of the current. People know he can revive himself and will be instantly knifing or shooting him down. With that 3 secs animation he is dead. Either an instant revive, or a force-shield for revive duration and 1-2-3 seconds after being revived.

Thunder is the 4 soldier/assault they are 3 right now. Nader/Rhino/Fragger.

But the whole, they have to balance things out, kinda falls a bit apart if you consider that they didn’t have a problem, having only 1 Recon in the mix. While the rest of the classes hit 3 allready.
That said we are now missing one (known) merc of each class. So obviously they will be coming, to balance the classes out, from now on  .

(Old Man) #28

Patience. One merc at a time. Also recon class has only Vassili while medics have 3 mercs available so I can understand why they have chosen him as the next addition.

We have 3 assault/soldier mercs already, Fragger, Nader, and Rhino.

(Backuplight) #30

In publics plenty of people don’t finish downed players, he’ll be amusing to play there - but yeah, I do wonder how useful his ability will be in many cases if it’s too slow to trigger.

So you literally mean not very updated wiki(or gamepedia).

But yes,the source is Trailer. And even trailer gave us Red Eye which we didn’t saw since it is obvious.

(Fiktio) #32

After all it the mercs are still going under the same categories as they are in the source - for example Vasilli being recon merc - then it doesn’t even matter, point is still valid.
If category system is still the same as it was long time ago, other merc categories already had 3 mercs released and Redeye was third recon to get released.
When knowing which mercenaries are already released, you can compare the wiki page and simply count the amount of released mercs.
However if those categories are nowadays totally different, then it’s another story.

(Derpfestor) #33

And then once Phoenix is released, the noobs will be calling the self-revived medic OP.

(Fiktio) #34

Aren’t noobs usually calling everyone and everything OP that is moving? :stuck_out_tongue:

Noobs haven’t called Arty OP until now ;D

(Fiktio) #37

In before a topic about Arty being OP pops up somewhere.

SOON™

(DMaster2) #38

I don’t really understand why people like Phoenix that much. From what i understood he has a decent heal ability, no way to revive teammates (correct me if i’m wrong here) and his signature ability is meh.

(Fiktio) #39

Of course those abilities might change and might turn out to be something else that it was in beta, but so far he used to have at least at some point healing pulse, defibrillator and self revive. So yes, he can revive a team mate and he can revive himself as well.

(VincentRJaeger) #40

Probably is that the Self-Revive can be considered some sort of gamechanger, if you don’t get gibbed. : P - Or just that he appeared in the Scrubs Trailer - getting smashed by a train.
He does have defibs though.
