phantoms cloak and respawn times

1.phantoms cloak now sucks when i tap it on then go to kill it has a 7 second cooldown like wtf , i was standing in one spot and i am stilll highly visible ( i have the c94 gen 1) this anonys me

  1. the respawn timer at 30 seconds is wayy to long, you die them you have to wait 30 seconds and if the teams are uneven you have a whole team wating maybe 15secs+ and it allows the other team to either, plant c4, deliver drug sample or repair objective

that is all i have to say :slight_smile:

  1. yeah i see both ways, often i accidently press q and uncloak, then have to wait 7 secs, which pisses me off. But now i also cant peak in and out constantly, so have to use the cloak more cleverly and with good timing, or it doesnt pay off.

You should always have ur eye on the spawn timer. Always. If u make a risky play, and u die just after the timer hits 1, then thats unlucky/ ur fault. But if u time it well, u can push up and die with 3/5 secs left, and ull be dandy.

Splash Damage: Okay!

lets put thunder EMP on phantom and + insta-cooldown plus 7 timer so no smart phantom!

but i just felt real good when phantom emp gets porky moines near chapel last objective building. i can deliver it safely and win the game…

not very team-oriented tho.

ur telling me that u can only have fun if u dont keep ur eye on the spawn timer? damn, ive been doing this shit wrong the whole time!
simple things like that will mean youll have more time to play, less time spent spectating, so naturally ull have more time having fun.

Spawn waves if anything are too consistent, a spawn wave shouldn’t start till one of your guys is gibbed.

if its 8v8 there should be 7 more teammates when you die with 27 seconds left till the next wave. if you play 6v6 there is a spawnwave every 20 seconds or even shorter. if you dont like the long spawn timer, play with smaller teamss

Is playtested and is bad. Like really really bad.
Youd even dedicate people to die early just to have the spawnwave as reinforcement for the fight. Really not funny.

Currently the attackers have to think when they do their push to put everyone on longspawn. But yeah… Pub.

Except it wouldn’t be a problem if they just left spawn timers be.

I happen to like 8v8… well, used to like.
It should have been like “if you don’t like chaotic 8v8, play 6v6”… but noooo.
Also, I don’t think that people who disliked 8v8 in the first place still like it so absolutely nothing was accomplished.
…unless they wanted people to complain… … … maybe my tin foil hat is onto something…

  1. Yeah ikr, the new Phantom is even worse than the old one because of that, he needs a full rework… Again
  2. Part of the skill in this game is to time your attacks, if you are a sniper, you should time your peeks and kill enemies when respawn time is 20+ seconds, if you are a Proxy that wants to plant C4 it’s better for you to rush when respawn time is 5 seconds or less. Also this is why we have a suicide button

I’m curious what would happen if we made phantom’s cloak timer-based rather than energy-based, outside of taking damage. - All with a seven-second consistent cool down to prevent spamming of the EMP: no matter how much of the time passed before a de-cloak. - Feel free to tell me why I’m an idiot down below.

Fine… I prefer the hit and run playstyle, a change like that would encourage more aggressive flanking, but it limits the option of hit and run. Aggressive flanking and hit and run were both viable strategies, now agressive flanking is the only option it seems.
