In the past few weeks I’ve been seeing more and more phantoms! Is this just luck or is anyone else noticing this?
Phantom Uprise?
 Do you play on the NA servers or something different?[/quote]
Nope, EU. If he has become more popular though, I imagine it’s just a phase everyone goes through, thinking he’s the spy of Dirty Bomb, should pass over soon
I’ve seen quite a few, but quantity and quality are quite a different story.
I presume some of them will be trying to get back into the swing of him with the rumours of some form of possible ability circling round.
It’s a sad attempt of players showing SD they care about Phantom and so should SD.
Or perhaps people have finally realised that SD is running around like headless chickens trying to figure out what to do with Phantom and have accepted the fact that it will take 12 more centuries for him to be fixed.
I’ve been recently playing Phantom because I want to learn how to effectively play him in his current state because there’s a huge probability he’ll remain unchanged.
Phantom can be really rewarding if you play him right. By play him right, I mean play against noobs.
Don’t mind me, I just found out how effective it is to go into a corner little far away, but within sightline to populated attack route, hit cloak when timer indicates horde of freshly spawned enemies will be coming up, and proceed to dink dem heads from behind of the slowest or highest priority of the herd :>
PS. Blishlok is actually quite nice primary for Phantom exactly for this purpose. Dinketidinkdink.
…so after the first shot when your cloak drops, you should have been using basically any other merc in the game, right?
^ exactly. I play phantom more now because he is actually fun ". Albeit completely useless if it’s not a surprise attack.
I’ve been surprised by how well my Phantom loadout with the Crotzni and Cricket Bat works with just sneaking up on people and batty them to death or shooting them from unexpected angles and by Phantom loadout with a Crotzni and Cricket Bat of course I mean my Sawbonez CR73 Companion Operative, in which I have a higher survivability by healing myself if I need to and can actually help my teammates by healing and reviving them.
