Phantom nerf talk and how we could ¨re-nerf¨ phantom

I think the nerf on Phantom was needed… but I think it was a little overkill with nerfing his cloack or Refractive Armor the way you did.If you just removed the extra armor when he is cloacked could be a perfect ballance in my opinion or maby makeing it like the Spys from tf2 cloack where you are 100% invisible but you cant attack while invisible.
I dont think makeing him easier to see while he was cloacked was needed. you could see him before when he moved and the whole idea of the Refractive Armor is to make him invisible.

Now to another one topic about the melee nerf… I think that the slower rotation was a great idea ! but i think it only should be used on the heavy melee attack not the normal. I do think that the tactic for phantom where you used the heavy attack and spined around in a 360 ° was totaly broken. This was my response to the nerf. The game is in beta so it isnt perfect but we can make it perfect together.

i dont notice the melee nerf - its working as intended as far as i can see.

As for all these Phantom cry babies: nah let all the loud mouth 12 year olds who were talking it up in game swearing they were super ORSAM FPS players getting all the mass kills have a few weeks to let it sink in that they really were playing an unbalanced merc

they swore they were not. they swore they had leet skills man

funny how b4 the nerf u saw 5 or 6 ghost boy mains every game now its, one (the guy that was actually skilled not the noobs using for EZ mode).

Why dont all u other try hards keep playing the merc u said u were super skilled at fellaz?

b4 the nerf they were in super talking shit mode. spamming general with the tired “how orsam am i” shit talk.

now its time for them to realise - give them at least a few weeks to let it sink in

I hope you notice the melee nerf. When you dident propbly just shows you dident use melee. he was very op but people dident know how to play against him yet at that time. But you are right with that phantom needs alot more skill right now. i just think that something like a fragger kira or rhino is way stronger then him. rhinos minigun is realy good right now and kiras orbital laser to. fraggers nades are very strong if you know how to use them. i just think that phantom was nerfed to hard.Before the nerf he realy was the best merc. but now he kinda lacks behind the others. the Refractive Armor is ment to make him invisible but i would say you can see him close to easier then when it isnt on. the only time it works is when you just sit still and wait.

First of all, it’s slightly a bit too obvious for players to see Phantom now. Every single player has seen me standing still while cloaked, even noobs. And the fact that they already saw you, the slow melee turn is just horrible, even if you hit them on your first strike, on most mercs you need to strike them again to kill them. But since you can’t turn fast enough in that time frame, you have no idea where they went.

How can you not see it? Have you even tried knifing in a hallway? If you so much as twitch, you’re dead, cause guess what. Your opponent just jumped over your head, and stabbed you twice in the back, since you can’t turn around.

Phantom is fine now, the melee turn thing was a bad bandaid and needs to be re-examined but everything else was fine. The skilled Phantoms are still reeling in the mega kills and toping score boards, it’s just the scrubs that have lost a crutch that are crying.

They nerfed his cooldown, visibility, smgs, melee, and health. Damn. They could have picked like three things to nerf, but they went HAM. On the plus side I’ve gone back to Proxy as my offensive merc.

No phantom is not fine thats the pooint of this post. There are alot of phantom haters out there i know… But soon there will be no phantom haters anymore Why? beacuse phantom is to say it like it is right now close to useless… and when a merc is useless no one ever gonna play them in the long run right now you maby see a phantom in every second game you take. But in a week or so with these nerfs there are close to no phantom players out there you maby gonna see a phantom in every 1 out of 10 games you take. and other mercs like kira rhino vassili is seen in close to every game you take.

Played a few matches, and excepting the one I had an extremely clueless team, managed a 2:1 k:d ratio while playing Phantom.

The game in general needs the melee sensitivity training wheels turned back off. This will help Phantom a good deal, and what made Phantom newb-friendly/retarded was the good half second of damage time the secondary attack had: Missed your target by 90 degrees? Who cares, just swing that s*** right on over and past, it’ll kill them anyway, nevermind that it’s stab attack and not a slash. Since they reduced the (retarded) time on it, he’s pretty much fixed.

Phantom needs something more. I’ve had an idea on what would be a good addition, fix and all around game changer for Phantom, but I think I’ll start a new thread for it.
