phantom loadouts in regard to his rework

I dont believe anyone’s made a thread on this, soo…
With the new rework, adding the emp effect, does that make some of his loadouts like the undercover and bombsquad are more or less useless? As proxy mines wont go off, and turret will be disables so cant track you? Or am I missing something here? Interested to see what you guys think.

The EMP only works if his armor is activated, which isn’t a lot of the time, so those perks are still handy for any merc regardless, especially someone who should be flanking around corridors like him.

Untrackable will be worthless, that’s for sure

Bomb squad is especially helpful for Phantom, so he can see and destroy heart beat sensors and snitch devices quicker.

Why? The mines still detonate if he isn’t cloaked. It’s literally no different than it is now. It’s helpful for any merc?

Maybe they will include an EMP duration perk for him ( Like undercover for his camo )

Proxy Mines do detect him even when he is cloaked.

Bomb Squad is always useful for him to spot where dangerous stuff is, he can go further and destroy it after it’s disabled if he wants after the patch.

Why are people saying Untrackable and Bombsquad will be useless? As far as I read the changes, he will only disable deployables if he’s cloaked. And a Phantom isn’t cloaked everytime to disable mines which will be everywhere thanks to OP loadouts Proxy will get with Lock-On.

My point is the perks will still be useful when he isn’t cloaked. I don’t understand where anyone is coming from lol. Sure, when he is cloaked they are completely useless, but he isn’t cloaked 100% of the time.
