i have one strange problem here. i see one big part of wall in the compiled map (when i am playing it) but on the radiant i can not see it?! the wall is from my old wersion and i can not delete it… is it a phantom brush or what? how can i get rid of it?
Phantom Brush (maybe) how to fix?
do you have a screenshot? is the brush stretched to some weird directions maybe? could it be that the brush is detail/structural/clip and you filter one of these views in radiant?
Try making a brush bigger than the wall that is/isn’t there, then choose Selection>Select>Select Inside, see if that selects the brush, if not you may need to select everything (deselect everything then go to Selection>Invert) in your map and cut and paste it into a new map. I dunno, maybe that’s a little too drastic, but it should work.
select a face of some other brush that has the same texture and press ctrl(+shift?)-a to select all brushes with the same texture, maybe you can see it then
Might be a silly question, but have you run brush cleanup? That’s those little arrows going around in a circle on the toolbar.
yeah, many times. this was the first thing that came to my mind…eee i will make this “thing” in a rock or gotta think of something :disgust:
Ummm, if you did try the select-all and paste thing, maybe try a select-all-and-then-deselect-that-area-thing. Then hopefully it would go but you’d have to do that part of the map again. Just a thought
IT WORKED!!! I made everything from the beginning of this topic, to the very end, and when i compiled it, this strange bug was gone!!! TNX TO ALL OF YOU!!!

lol you did all of that at without testing every step? anyway great to hear it worked!
