I heard of these Phamton brushes b4 but aint sure what they are
what my problem is: I built a car/tram like thing for a script mover all was fine, after i copyed this a few times, i noticed that 1 of the brushes had no clip to it thus throwing u off the tram every now and then, solid is checked on the scriptmover too.
The unseen sides of the brush are textured nodraw but so are the other 4-5 brushes that make up the tram and thier solid, i also tried to rebuild the brush endless times and still the same effect any ideas??? :???:
Phamton brushes
ok then guessing ;o) - did you maybe unselect a brush by accident? or is the clipping too narrow/doesnāt move with the rest at same speed?
no to all them
except that on one of the cars the offending brush disapears when it goes down a incline/hill ? the brush as all the right keys etc and i got my script locked down
Just got something similar and I think I know how it happenedā¦
When I move vertices or edges, if I get a āWARNING: brush plane with no normalā the brush will disappear. At that point, Iāll Undo and delete the brush. What happens, I think, is if that happens but you donāt undo and delete the brush, that thing might still be there somehow.
To continue my little story
After getting the error, a sudden laziness caught me and I didnāt undo and delete the thing. Since it was already gone I decided to draw a new brush to replace that b0rked one. The result brush (the one I just drew) was suddenly at coords OVER 65536 on the Z axis and it was displaying as something similar to a simple patch mesh⦠but textured on both sides of the brush :???: Deleting and redrawing the resulting brush would always give me the exact same thing. Even brush clean-up didnāt help. I had to reload the map (about 5 mins lost).
So, when you peeps get that kind of warning, undo/delete is you best bet.
HTH someone
EDIT: Jahaa! 500th post!
