Petition For Dedicated Servers For XBOX360

I’ve been playing the GEARS3 beta and when it running on dedicated servers. It runs amazing. People its high time that dedicated servers become standard for major games. I’ve been saying this for years. Time after time I see an ambitious titles get released, cleary trying to push the envelope. And once it hits the streets it runs like crap. That sort of thing is no good for the gamers or the developer. Lag like this can’t patched. It might get covered up, but its still a major problem. Dedicated servers would greatly improve the overall online conditions, that are so dreadful at the momment.

It never fails as soon as some proposes dedicated servers some like you comes in and responds negatively asap. Let me guess, you work for the company?

The main reason would be people aren’t demanding it. It is something that could easily happen if everyone demands that it be done.

Yeah I don’t expect to see dedicated servers for xbox or ps3. It would be nice but certainly not expected.

Just give us lobbies, fix lag, a few generic game modes (TDM CTF KOTH), and put in stats with stat tracking.

These issues would render this game perfect for me. Love everything else about it.

You think console players havent asked for dedicated servers since brink was announced? If they didnt implement them before launch there is less of a chance that they will put them in post launch. Maybe they will, but I wouldn’t hold my breath.

And, um, what does that have to do with the proverbial price of tea in China??

Other console games have dedicated servers. They can be given to us, or let console players rent dedicated servers as do PC players. There is absolutely nothing about the technology in the box that prevents them from using dedicated servers.

I would like them, even if we (I) must pay for them.
