That looks pretty balanced to me. It takes like 5 shots to kill a Stoker at that somewhat short range… If anything, they need a buff again.
I haven’t used them recently though so I don’t know if the recent buff has helped any. However, previously, it was almost pointless to use a shotgun. The damage was entirely random. Too often I would barrel stuff a mid-HP merc (like around 100) and the shotgun would only do “25%” damage to them, or in some cases, close to nothing. I found myself as an Aura, reverting to my M9 to get any kills. The shotguns just feel extremely weak at pointblank range when they should do high damage.
I’m guessing you were being sarcastic when you said “shotguns are completely worthless and unusable,” but by the looks of the video, they are fairly unusable. Granted, you were also playing against not-the-best people… Shotguns should definitely be capable of taking out 2 people before you need to reload. Parts of the clip even show that at almost pointblank range it can take 3-4 shots to kill a merc. That’s just too much in my opinion.
I say lower the rate of fire, and increase the damage. That way it requires you to hit your targets because if you don’t, there’s a good chance you’ll die. :P[/quote]
Of course I’m being sarcastic and I hope you are too. The first kill I got looks normal to you? Shotguns should have absolutely 0 effect or close to 0 from that range. I was taking off close to 20-25 chunks of hp cleanly. That’s insane. Aura/Proxy has the speed to get close n personal, let them do it.

The first kill, definitely not. The second kill, yes. It took 5 shots to kill I believe at medium range ish. You also scored a headshot with it.
The next few kills appear to be fairly balanced, like the phoenix taking 2 shots to kill at close range. Then after that, most of the kills seem right to me. The Rhino at a decent range was taking damage from the turret so that’s why he died so quickly I think. You finished a few mercs off that had already taken damage.
2 shots to kill is perfect at those close ranges. The medium range shots were against mercs that had already taken a decent amount of damage, but that first kill was definitely a bit much. Shotguns feel somewhat random sometimes. Or at least they did. They appeared to make some changes which makes them feel more consistent in my opinion. Granted, I’ve encountered some people using Aura as a sniper and I feel like there should be a bit more of a damage drop off past a certain point.
