The game doesn’t run very well in SP i think mainly because the bots AI is controlled by your CPU so your GPU can’t be at 100% performance. Try playing a multiplayer game it’ll be ALOT smoother.

Single player is capped to 30 fps, since you are essentially hosting a listen server. This is why it is fixed by first hosting a ded server and then joining it for single player. I don’t know why it is capped, I hear it was the same in ETQW. I haven’t played Brink myself, this is what I have heard on the forums.

So the frame rate problem isn’t limited to just AMD users after all. Well isn’t this something.
Sometimes the option for solo is available. Other times I have to input a password. There is no option for “solo” when playing single player in that case. In other words, sometimes Solo is the only option other times I have to put in a passwords. And other times there is the option to choose, weird.

9 times out of ten it only happens in solo mode. (launch night however single player was running at 60 fps and was all sorts of awesome. Next day meters were posting 60 fps and visibly running 30-45 fps) When I jump in MP of any type its visibly running at 60 fps. Although i had an exception last night.

Yes, this ONLY happens when playing Solo or hosting a listen server. Joining a dedicated server works perfectly fine.

Starting a Private Campaign game will also cause this, since you are the host still.
