Playing dirty bomb on some of the lowest settings gets me an average of 10-30 FPS with an early 2015 gaming PC
asking around, it’s most likely because of windows 10 optimization being nonexistent. Are optimizations being done or is this a new issue?
Performance issues
Specs please. 2015 doesn’t mean anything. ‘Gaming’ pc also implies some shitty prebuilt scam so yeah.
AMD FX™-4100 Quad-Core Processor 3.60 GHz

64-bit OS, x64 based processor
Sorry.
Windows 10 has had issues with most games currently due to it being a new operating system, my recommendation would be to decide whether or not it’s benefits are greater than it’s downsides, if not then you can always revert back to Windows 7 or 8(Whichever you previously had) and see if that helps. Also remember that low settings in games does not always improve performance, but it does allow the game to run better on lower-end PCs, most of the time high settings are much better optimized since it’s the default, while low settings are not since it’s compressed from high.
If you are having trouble due to windows 10, this is a video card driver issue, NOT a game issue. Windows 10 is still very new and some video card drivers aren’t up to date and some don’t perform well with win10. However, some people are without issue, so it’s hit-and-miss. If you believe win10 is the problem, I suggest back-dating to win7 if you can, or win8.
PS. Like Ghosthree3 said, we need specs to help, because “2015 gaming pc” means very little :L So if you can post the system specs, we might be able to help more c:
If you’ve been getting higher frame rates before you can always wipe your shootergame folder in documents\mygames\unrealengine3 to see if that works.
On my end I’ve done that and I get 60 FPS on high settings, but I always have to use my cooler fan cuz it’s a laptop (y410 if ur curious) and high setting is poorly optimized anyway despite the fact that I undervolt -70mV. Sad life man.
Radeon HD 6670 is a 2011 card and not a very good one at that, http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu.php?gpu=Radeon+HD+6670
The FX-4100 is also a 2011 piece of hardware that’s also not too hot, https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=AMD+FX-4100+Quad-Core
Not sure what makes you call that a 2015 gaming PC. If it is a prebuilt and it was advertised as such then yeah, sorry you got scammed. Don’t ever buy prebuilts.
Perhaps you should be getting more fps than you’re getting, but not much.
HAHA “early 2015 gaming PC”. Yes, you bought a 2010 computer in early 2015
It is extremly bad for a 2015 computer.
A 2011 config should be more than enough to run this game in theory, because it’s an old engine and it doesn’t even look impressive. The optimisation is a mess. The minimum and recommended configs are just lies.
The engine has been drastically updated over the years since it’s release which includes new features that decrease performance for older systems. Also, Splash Damage has made modifications themselves. They are focusing on getting the performance of the game stable for everyone. Some people on toasters can run the game just fine while others with higher end rigs have issues. That can take time to figure out (welcome to PC gaming in a nutshell).
And the minimum specs are pretty crazy and look like placeholders to me. I’ve asked to see if they can be looked at an updated to something more realistic because there is no way a computer from that era could run Dirty Bomb with any kind of solid performance even if it would technically run.
If you have bought a PC in 2010 or up it should be able to run dirty bomb, however the biggest problem with laptops and gaming is the graphics cards which are usually intergrated.
Unfortunately you only have two choices, buy a overpriced gaming laptop or play on a toaster.
Should play just fine…game is only a DX9…
Windows 10 is the problem, you have 2000 Microsoft employees scanning your computer at anytime, that might be it.
I run Win10 on both my PC’s. The game performs the same as it did before I updated. It’s one thing to say the issue might be Win10 (or any OS/driver/hardware) and then actually have a reason to back it up but it’s another to throw out baseline FUD. So please, don’t do that @BigBaddaBooma

Microsoft employees doesnt scan ppl PCs… spyware like Cortana does it for them. MS guys just go thru mined data and do what they wannt with it. After all, all users signed off their rights for privacy to MS be4 they installed Win10(MS got a really good deal this time, since no1 ever reads ToU nowadays).

The tinfoil hat is strong with these ones. They don’t collect private data and they collect next to no data at all if you turn off all the privacy options that are offered.
that’s what I did when I reinstalled the latest W10. the game runs great now.
